I have had this happen a couple times now. I target the machine gun and knock it off. Then I jump out to hit the launcher, and get machine gunned. Tried it a couple times now. They are definitely shooting machine guns. Screen shot attached.

This happens when the weapon gets destroyed by the fire damage of exp.ag4 .

I think you are exactly right. Both times this happened, I had been shooting with the exp ag4.
Heyo, this was also reported here, along with some theories. It’s definitely a pretty big issue that affects gameplay so, hopefully we’ll see a fix for this soon.
