The Final Showdown - An Update On Generation Zero

I would like it if we could get the gnome pods after this update, I never did manage to find any.

Here’s a simple but cool idea. The Devs could fill the other big islands with hunters, firebirds and tank. We’ll call them Hunters Island, Firebird Island and Tank Island🤣
You don’t even need to build a bridge or add boats to get over. No need to add any houses or other structures. Just tons of machines and let us go machine killing spree😁 We’ll use our propane tanks to get over on these islands. I think that would be awesome!! Would that be too much work?@SR_Carni

You got them the same way you was able to get gnome masks: by killing gnome ticks.

I don’t like that.

  1. You would eventually be able to propane everywhere, but (If you don’t own alpine unrest) not to himfjäll.
  2. I’m quite sure that you’re not able to go everywhere with gas tanks. Some are just too far away.
  3. Being able to get there and to find nothing but machines, which of course would also generate system load, would be boring and just make us want more content there, which we will never get.
  4. Finally you would be less satisfied than with what we currently have.

At least that’s my opinion.

In the end, and it is the end, we now have no more influence… And we should learn to accept that.

I don’t want to be too impatient, but…
When do we may expect more hints or even the release date? Your channels, at least the official postings, are quite quiet until now.

With such a load of new features, new story, new or changed Locations, the showdown and quality of life improvements, I would have expected many small teasers in the remaining time… Maybe the remaining time until the release is more than I thought (instead of november or december: several months :man_shrugging:) and there is still much time left to give us enough hints and to discuss them.

Greetings,

Until…super soon, I hope. (My super soon )

Is this sarcasm? Seems it is sarcasm. Coming from someone that never shows any kind of patience, it must be sarcasm. Or do you not notice every time there is a hint of an announcement you continuously ask for timelines. That is the best definition of being very impatient, just so you know.

Your collection is so much bigger then mine of 0 masks…
Would be freaking cool if they became permanent “available” again.

I own all DLCs. And yes, you can “reach” most of the islands with propane tanks, except #4 (I have). Islands 1, 2, 5 give you a “You don’t own this content” message then teleports you back to your original point. The restriction was taken off #3, so you can go on it now. I was just on it last Sunday. And #4 is too far to get to.
I would agree with you on the system load. I did think about that, but it still would be fun for anyone that just wants to see how long they would last. Kinda like a Horde Mode.
It wouldn’t be “less satisfying” because at the current moment, we have nothing there but trees.

If I remember correctly, the gnome tick pods have only been released once for a special event since the game was offered initial release.

And it could be that unique events will no long happen, but they could also become part of all the other collectibles and be available all the time.

Something like that but they also “bugged out” later, literally, so some players kept getting them popping up in places.
For me, I passed Granhöjden last night (Delorean place) and found an old schematic I must have missed way before. And a FNIX Hunter in the kitchen, so the lady of the house will probably go crazy when she sees the mess we made .

Hunter in the kitchen. I’ve seen it. He was making dinner and wanted me to join him. I politely declined🤣

As long as we were able to generate gnomes, I regularly got Gnome Tick pods from the loot of dead gnome ticks.

Maybe… :joy:

Yeah, indeed. Maybe just because I’m still used to how pontus managed to spread infos… and I liked that way.
We got an info, maybe with initial hints, and then usually one week later, sometimes even just a few days, we got more hints frequently. In general it was every week on the same day of the initial info at about 5pm, until finally the update was released. That was awesome.

I have them all… Just in the nick of time before they vanished forever.

Carni, While I’ve made a number of suggestions in the past, I have one request regarding this final update. At the very least, allow players to travel to all of the large islands. Even if you’re going to do nothing more than just lay down a bridge, please make it possible for players to go to all of the large islands- and preferably without having to blow themselves up. I like the challenge of trying not to die if at all possible, so not having to blast myself across a body of water would be a plus. This beautiful map is one of the strongest assets that this game has.
Respectfully submitted…

Same here. There was a period of time where it was relatively easy to set the conditions for the appearance of the screechie little fiends and then it was on for young and old. I have some video and screenshots to reminisce

Fortunately I have managed to gain all the masks and quite a number of the gnome tick pods.

you can try asking multiplayer people’s on the game system your on, multiplayer people, also, firework boxes, snowballs, selma

I have a good number of pods, too, but of the masks I’m just missing one. The cyborg gnome, my favourite one.

I reckon an event is needed

Yes, that would be too much work  A cool idea nevertheless!

This is not something we’re looking into. The unfinished islands are, well, unfinished, and doing the work to give players access to unfinished and empty areas is not high priority enough

Because I just encountered this last night…

Attacking a base is almost unplayable on Series X right now. The framerate drops so low when all the robots swarm out that controller movements are effectively decoupled from the viewport.

It would be nice to solve that.
