The game is stuck on the cassette loading screen

The Problem: Whenever I launch the game I click accept to the End User License Agreement then allow anonymous tracking and crash report. After that the game is stuck on the loading screen. I have tried verifying the game files, Launching steam in offline mode, Removing previous game save files, disabling/reenabling steam cloud synchronization, and Uninstalling/reinstalling and nothing fixed it. The game was working fine for a month after I bought it but when I tried to play it again after I hadn’t in a while it was stuck on the loading screen. If anybody has any suggestions to possibly fix this I would be happy to hear them.

64-Bit operating system

Two basic procedures when a Steam game is giving you a hard time:

  • Try to use steam with/without admin rights from windows.
  • Check possible antivirus issues with the game files (add game files to exception list)

Do you have mods installed? It may be whats causing it (outdated mods).
The mods are in a file named “dropzone”.
If you have that file; remove it and the problem should be solved.

Interesting, I didn’t have any mods installed into the game but I did delete the “dropzone” file just in case and it fixed the problem, thanks for the assistance.

You get the dropzone file by installing mods, you may have forgot that you did install one :slightly_smiling_face:
