Does anyone have any intelligence on if/when the other islands on the GZ global map will be opened up - or indeed of further expansions coming?

I’m assuming most of them will be opened up in the future, as there are already roads and airstrips on some of them. 
Question isn’t “if” but “when”.
So far, only one island has been unlocked (Himfjäll) but chances are good that others are following as paid DLCs as well.
When it comes? Hard to say. Devs do notion that for the anniversary of GZ in the late March, something big is coming but what - your guess is as good as mine.
Devs doesn’t like to give us roadmap what’s coming. Instead, they like to pleasantly surprise us once the release is about to happen.
