I’m really starting to wonder what’s going on outside of Östertörn.
Is the calamity contained ?
Does the outside know what’s going on ?
If yes, why are there no reinforcments or suply drops ?
Has FNIX the region under complete lockdown ?
And so on and so forth…
I wonder if we’ll ever find out…
intel found on some missions tells us about nato and russia knowing about the situation. so the situation should be known to the outside world. and there is one proven case of outsiders reaching the shores, russians, iirc.
There may be a massive war going on in sweden who knows? (except the devs) all we really know is sweden is under blockade and airdrops are impossible as a swedish fighter jet on himfall was in the air for a minute before being shot down by what we dont know but they have a decent AA defence
From all the intel present in the game, i don´t think Sweden is under machine control, only a part of it, and i doubt it´s only the game “Islands”
As it´s been said, NATO and Russia know about it and are probably encircling Sweden, under a strict lockdown, but the machines keep evolving, so the future is uncertain.

There was a mission on himjiell island ending in a morse code message from either NATO or the soviets (or a joint effort between both)
The message mentioned yellow reighndeer (wich is what I assume a code for survivors) telling them that ground deployment on Swedish soil was green lit
So will the soviets NATO or both invade Sweden in order to deal with the machines
