I’ve been thinking and over my few years of videogame experience one of my favorite things to do was play firefight on halo reach. You’d be placed into the world and you’d have to face waves and waves of oncoming enemies. And I honestly think that a game in this situation could use something like that right now.

Go to the castle on the spawn island. Welcome the 20 or so military runners with open arms. Walk around anywhere. Piss off a Seeker. There are plenty of unrelenting hordes of robots already please don’t make it worse before making it better.
find a nice hilltop, grab a radio or a boombox, and wait for the hordes.
That damn castle. One surefire way of comitting suicide is to grab a boombox, sneak into the middle of the castle and set it off. I know, I tried.
Though a horde-like gamemode could work. Only thing I’m concerned about is the lag, enemy corpses would have to despawn to avoid it.
Enemy corpses should despawn anyways, they seem to last an eternity for me and I’m sure it highly contributes to the awful lagspikes in combat
