The removal of spawning medkits/ammo in addition to the higher volume of enemies took the fun away in my opinion. And indoor spawning ticks really just make it worse in my opinion. Before the five day crash I was doing just fine, now I can’t even play for five minutes without being overwhelmed at the beginning, out of ammo and medkits, and generally feeling like I’m not enjoying the game anymore.
Worked like a charm, besides constant crashing every 5-10mins, no were to find ammo ( sub machine guns and assault rifles ), explosive doesn’t do anything, my characters on lvl 31 are now completely out of ammo and explosive, but that Is nothing compared to the big dilemma.
After 4 hours of playing / crashing the game refuse to continue from the start screen, on my PS4 and on my sons pro PS4, the same error message as on the 1.05 patch, doesn’t mater if I press continue or trying to join multiplayer.
It seems that to many crashes in a row ruins the game data, so my suggestion is to play safe, don’t fast travel, don’t loot, don’t enter houses and make shore that you are not fighting more than one robot at the time, don’t run, try to not move at al.
starting to se more and more on my friend list with the same dilemma.
Edit, my son reminded me, a found 3 bullets to my Ak after approximately 3 hours of looting from the north down to the south ( perhaps 2 ,30min actual game time duo to crashes )
Same here, no fun at all. In my last session I started in the safe house at Ă–verby airbase. When trying to get out I met three (!) tanks and a bunch of hunters on the airstrip and more in the surrounding woods, even though I cleared out that area weeks ago. That took a lot of effort so why would I want to do that over and over again? To help me this second time I had 35 Ak 4 bullets, 15 shotgun shells, 10 for the PSG sniper and some useless explosives. Most ammo boxes and crates at the airfield were empty. I brought down one of the tanks to 80% in a final EMP empowered suicide attack then it was over. Wasted all ammo so next attempt would be completely futile.
With massive enemy respawn and no ammo I’m fed up with GZ, at least for a while. I think patch focus is a bit off. Who has ever complained about too much ammo available in the game?
Ammo loot the biggest problem for me. (Ps4)Theres nothing in any toolbox or containers or any Medkits. I understand there is a timer added for loot to respawn once you have looted but places i have never been dont contain anything.Dont know how to kill machines if there aint ammo around to loot. Damage to machines and tanks is effected badly with explosives hardly doing damage (just tickling the tanks). Hopefully this gets fixed in the next update. Other than that i cant play just have to wait.
General thoughts, in no particular order:

Indoor ticks are a pain in the arse, but mostly because they can spawn while you’re in the building, and the locations they spawn in make it such that you usually have to draw aggro to be able to shoot them (so if you want the XP for killing them or can’t afford to waste the ammo shooting the electrical boxes outside, you have to take damage most of the time). I actually like the general concept (it makes contextual sense), it’s just the execution that’s horrible. They shouldn’t be in places you can’t shoot them without drawing aggro, and they shouldn’t be able to spawn when you’re in the same room.

Starting out a new save right now is absolutely brutal if you’re playing solo. Ammo is hard to come by, medkits are even harder, the decent early resource caches that would help alleviate this are guarded by groups of enemies that are at best challenging to kill until you get the hunting rifle (and even then still challenging in some cases). I’ve now restarted twice in the past week (see my next point about save issues), and both times I’ve taken more time just getting to Iboholmen Church than it’s taken me to get from there to Salthamn because of how insanely careful I’ve had to be until I got the hunting rifle and shotgun.

Save files are still very easy to get wedged into a state that makes progress impossible. The save backup thing only really helps if the data in the save file is not structurally correct, not if the game gets confused and recognizes you as having gotten something you didn’t yet or vice versa. After twice ending up with missions in a state I can’t progress in the past week, I’ve just started keeping my own backups of my saves at this point.

The 4-hour in-game loot reset thing is a serious pain for anybody who isn’t regularly playing long sessions. I seriously question the practical benefit of enforcing it, given that people having a ton of ammo and med-kits from reloging doesn’t really ruin the game experience for anybody except the person who’s doing it. At minimum, it should be real-time instead of game time.

The additions to make the game feel less empty are rather nice, barring the overabundance of ticks in the early game right now. This has significantly helped with leveling too, but see my next poing.

XP is eXPensive! Back when the game came out, there weren’t many bots, but killing one actually meant something other than you losing ammo. Right now, it’s a pain in the arse to actually level because most bots don’t give much, if any, XP proportionate to how many resources it takes to kill them, and on top of that you only appear to get XP for bots that you actually directly kill (for example, I’m getting nothing for frying ticks by blowing out electrical panels, or for killing multiple runners by one-shotting the energy cell on top of one of them in a group).

The photo mode is a nice touch, but not enough to make up for the other issues the game has.
Haven’t played it since 1.05 after my first crash. Wont play it till I hear about glitched quest fixes. I’m not starting over either since I seen and heard starting island is almost impossible to get through now. I really enjoyed this game but its quickly becoming crap to me.
Dont forget the loot boxes are empty aswell. Nothing to do with timer although it would be nice how it was before because its effecting casual players bigtym.
I’m glad this patch removed showing you how much loot is in an area. I would normally pick up radios and things that were not in boxes to get the credit for completing the loot in an area even if I didn’t need them. But if they will no longer respawn we need to be able to leave them where they are for later.
I like the addition of ticks inside houses
Not a fan of the loot respawn wait time. Not sure exactly how it’s supposed to work. Heard you have to be playing in game for 4 real world hours, others said it was 4 game world hours so around 1 real world hours. I left the game on with my character closed in a safehouse bathroom for over 4 real hours and still couldn’t get loot.
