I still came a cross some tv with high pitch sound in the landfall update. But that never bothered me much. If the sound is softer I can’t say I noticed.
Okay, I have mostly explored the updated parts of Östertörn, so maybe I will find that the “evil TVs” are still out there!
Funny thing is, since this topic started I notice this tinnitus-like sound more then before. I never stay long in each room, and if I need to hide there I’d just shoot it.
I thought it was my actual tinnitus until I saw this topic, it’s a weird thing to bug out as TV sounds are a thing that really had no reason to be touched in the first place lol
The test sound the TVs emit will be muted in the next Patch, we’re considering putting an option to toggle it on and off in the settings but until then it’ll be gone!
Gravedigger…
Thank you for the feedback so long after it has been reported. You’re awesome
Hey, better late than never! Never hurts to keep peeps in the loop
After the update to a toggle, can you still just shoot them to stop the sound? Or maybe just hit the house EMP, that would bust any TVs that are on and silence them before you go into the house. It destroys the ticks now, why not just add the TVs too?
You’ll still be able to shoot them in any case
Small correction: The TV test tone is still there, but in the next update it’s quieter and only more audible if you directly look at the TV. Also the sound has been redesigned from just a pure sine tone to a modulating, noisy tone which should be less tinnitus-triggering.
Maybe in a later patch we can include a menu option to disable the sound, similarly to the low stamina heartbeat-pulse-in-your-ears sound.
It’s always nice to see little things like this improved/fixed
Even though it’s not gamebreaking, it’s definitely irritating to some people myself included
Agree with sounding bugs we may face during the long play. Sometimes after killing the biggies, we may hear their loud BUUUUMPING sound even if all they are destroyed already. Could you please tell me the platform your are playing this game? I issue this on my X Box Series S and has the same on my X version(sold it). I assume that this happening because of wrong RAM usage or just simple bug with sounding scripts.
