Gamertags in multiplayer are way large and bright for my liking often blocking my view and just getting in the way. I’ll like to see a Transparent/opaque slider bar in the setting menu for other players tags and rivals name tags and even a sizeable option.
At least the Online-IDs of other players you can turn off in the settings.
I gave that a go a few times but just kept loosing everyone when they ran off to the next fight
Well, that’s a matter of communication.
For sharing your position you could use flares or fireworks… Or some shots. But be aware of the robots you may attract with that.
Believe me, it’s fun to play that way, if you play with friends, not random multiplayers.
