Description: Unable to pickup binder in side quest “One can only hope” after joining friend on their map while at Iboholmen Castle. Proceeded to complete all quests and side quests in the area. Return to single player world realized the side quest is not completed, returned to Skarven bunker to complete, unable to pickup binder.
Steps To Reproduce: Join friend’s multiplayer session in the middle of side quest “one can only hope”, complete. Return to single player world, attempt to complete, again?

Did you pick up the item in your friends game?
I don’t think I did. The first 2 items I definitely didn’t pick up yet they still showed up. Most quests completed even when I didn’t pick up items. ie.“Making Friends”. I’ll ask if I can go back to their world to confirm later this evening.
I went back to my friend’s map, side quest says it is completed on their map but once back on my own map the quest is incomplete and I can’t pickup the last item. Is it possible to cancel/reset a quest?
In general the mission progress is saved to the world you’ve been playing at, not to the characters.
Since we got 4 worlds instead of just one, the game doesn’t know any more where to save the progress at for clients. Previously it was clear… Just one world for each player and one place to save the progress to.
Regarding your question:
No, it’s not possible.
That’s what we call “soft locked”.
