For towns like Ostervick I would love to be able to have ladders that we interact with to climb up some buildings (for example the apartment blocks) to snipe from also in open fields where there is barely any cover it would be useful to be able to climb trees to snipe from too. Another thing we could have is a stand to mount guns to remove gun waver but its immobile. This would be useful for the KVM too as you could build a turret basically.
Just as slowly you’d climb a tree, you’d also be slowly climbing one down. Imagine a rocket barrage coming (even if it’s slow now) and you panicking off a tree like in real life
I feel being able to make your own sniper’s nest would be cool, but how do you even imagine it working?
There’s basic physics in the game, which is nice, but jumping is rigid and slippery. The simplest approach to this would be (prone already is now introduced) to have more verticality in cities. I don’t remember when I’ve said this, but if we had more parkour options and a bit more intuitive jumping with prone, we’d have a really great way to introduce verticality. You can jump on not-so-steep ladders, so if it was more of Half-life ladder mechanics, I can see it working somewhat.
Just… again… there would be revisions upon revisions to make cities more parkourable on roofs etc. From that point, I think the sprint runs out too quick even with the skill maxed. If the Devs make sprinting longer, but add additional point towards jump height or distance, then there’d be more balance between who wants to be a spiderman, and who wants to be the god damn tanky teenager.
There’s a lot to discuss before everyone just goes around shouting they want to sit on roofs without considering what’d need to be changed first in current mechanics. Otherwise everything will come out half-assed.
well cover and not to bee seen is the basic of sniping and be able to do an retreat whit out geting in harms way.
Irl snipers dont use higher grounds not any position where you get your silhouette agents the horisont so to say. at least not snipers that are successful in what they are doing and do more then one mission =)
So cover low positions whit good cover and good field of view. see but not be seen is the key and ofc be able to make the shoot. and alot of waiting is part of it.
but im gessing this is more realted to action movies and Hollywood =D
ps bipod for the pvg 90 when prone wold be nice that eliminates some sway and recoil. and robots that dont render out copletly at 550m in game as this is my max rang i can see them on and they dont de spawn 543m is the max range i have one shoot any thing this is according to my longest kill and the perk of target info that is in spotter
it would be good to have ladders as it would be a different way to attack
I would prefer having split screen though as that would definitely be the best if they did it for this game
