Walkie Talkie Disappeared On Pickup

Just installed latest dlc, picked up the hammer, met the old guy, picked up the walkie talkie and ever since could not find it again to use it.

The walkie-talkie is a mission item that’ll allow the characters to contact you. It’s not visible in the inventory. Or am I missing something here, are you unable to proceed with the next mission?

As stated above by Xezr, walkie-talkie is supposed to disappear. This is intended game feature.
