By the describtion I would have thought that it was an early version of the standard first aid kit, which probably has been updated later, but I don’t know. Interesting.
It was an old placeholder medkit that came from a different game under the same engine. It ended up ingame somehow, probably due to some inexperienced game desgned placing it by accident for an update.
There’s no reason to save them, they are technically in the game’s code anyway. They’ve just been replaced by GZ’s medkits at this point.
