I remember, my first copy of hl1 I got from a friend. Due to a lack of cd-burners that days, I got it zipped and split over more than 30 diskettes or so.
Didn’t Gabe say, that every time someone mentioned Half Life 3 he would delay anything about it for another decade? Personally, I would love Half Life 3 and Portal 3. I mean it seems that they due to crossover by how Portal 2 worked in the drydock for the Borealis.
Did you hear or read something that said that they’re working on it?
Another game I forgot to mention is Cyberpunk 2077.
Just like the others I mentioned, this game also scared me away around the 4 hour mark. I really want to like it, and I can’t quite put my finger on what it was that made me quit. I think there might be something about huge urban areas in games that I find unsettling.
In real life, I come from a farm, in a tiny village with 250 inhabitants, and that’s how I like it. Cities just aren’t for me. Maybe that’s part of the explanation.
I hope to give Cyberpunk another chance some day, though!
It had a bumpy start, but I found it to be a great game.
I really got hooked on the story.
That’s really why I play games. Good story games are like interactive books where we play the main role.
Me too, but I haven’t quit yet.
I just hope that I won’t have the same feelings with gta6 when it’s out.
I just started playing helldivers 2, that’s a great game honestly, one of my favorites already. If any of you guys like more competitive or fast paced shooters, splitgate 2 came out not that long ago and, despite the mixed reviews it is a really great game. And I know it was already mentioned but, red dead 2 is just one of the best story games you can play, and even if you’ve played it in the past, there’s a few different endings and tons of different things to do, meaning you discover new things every playthrough
