Hi, I haven’t played GZ in a long time, and my plan is to start again. I play on xbox one s, and I was just wondering what has changed in the starter islands (Archiplelago) that I should be aware of?
Also, will deleting and making another character reset the entire game for me, including story and progression?

Depending on when the last time you played, you could find a completely new experience on the starter islands including NPC interactions. If you’ve been gone for a long time, I would strongly recommend a wipe and starting over.
That said, you now have the option of starting a fresh game wiht a different character. However, you still share the Plundra box, any weapons, schematics, collectibles you’re formerly collected. Although if you’re ok with this and starting out with some better gear, then by all means that’s also an option.

And if you are really hardcore and want a true new starter experience, you can at least drop all the better gear and let it de-spawn, or just don’t use them in the beginning.
