Last night I was working on the grind to get to the new island and got to the mission to go to Norrmyra. It was late so I had to end it before going there.
Then I realized…I have been saving a South Coast Reaper that ended up inside of FOA2 for about a month now. Been waiting for the game to get straightened out. I saw a video of what happens inside of FOA2 at this point and I’m wondering how this is going down tonight. Will it fall into the silo? Will I have no cover to fight it from except for being outside the walls? I may have just made things extremely difficult or hilariously easy.
Good to know that cover is there. Not too concerned with a firebird…one EMP rocket and half a mag of my PM-71 w/ EMP augment and AP ammo usually takes them out in about 15 seconds.
I imagine it couldnt get me once inside the silo if possible. Wonder if I could even fight it from there.

A firebird can help you fighting the reaper. Either just as distraction or even as threat for the reapers health.
I don’t know how the firebirds howitzer and electro mines may affect the reaper.
Along with the rest of the DLC deployables they arent working. Bsides…I do want to take it out because I dont know what will happen with that area afterwards. Plus his time has come.
@Madchaser … No firebirds but I did have to wipe out about 20 Lynxes when I got there. I wouldnt want a damned firebird taking my kill either.
I’m inside a storage room right outside taking a break atm…then its showtime. He is on the opposite side of the entrance and I have a big pile of dirt for cover. If he comes at me maybe he’ll get stuck in the silo.
Fighting a reaper inside the arena is a lot of fun. Easy to fight it and stay outside the arena. You can even set traps for runners that try to come out at the gate.
For even more fun run, into the arena and take it on. reapers showing up in the arena for some time now. The buggy way it happened on you and when it could spawn on any region. It would spawn in the arena and be a marshland’s reaper and not a South coast one.
Thats basically what I did. Once it ran up to the entrance it stayed to the left pretty much…so I stayed beside the office on the right and picked away. I had some .270 shock ammo loaded in the new AI-76 so I put that as a trap at the entrance for the doggos.
It didnt fall into the silo like I hoped. It was a big disappointment tho…another Exp 12 ga. and ammo. I get better stuff from level 1 rivals. At least it wasnt like my last reaper at the Overby airfield…three freakin tanks decided to join the party on top of everything else. I was exhausted after that.
Oh and a PM-71 with the unstoppable augment will wear the reapers ass out fairly quick. It never got to the red gas cloud…last I checked he was at 13% and I laid into him with the Exp Ai-76 with explosive .50 cal and the rest of my .270 shock ammo. Then he did another green gas blast and while I was reloading he went down.
If you’re referring to my comment about the deployables not working they still dont work. In fact even a flare just vanished when I tried to throw one the other day which isnt a DLC item. The only item I’ve used reliably is the mines as I usually grab about 20 of them for a base assault…the first thing I do is run the whole perimeter dropping them by the walls then start working the base.
I’m on an Xbox Series X by the way…and have cleared cache several times. I’m at level 101 so I’m not new to the game either.
