I love the core of the game. Please never change that, but we need more. What we really need are new, different types of machines roaming the map. We need bigger and badder Bosses than the Reaper. The Reaper is really child’s play once you’ve fought it a few times.
We need a different boss in each region with different attacks and abilities. We need more maps to travel to, and we need drivable vehicles that can carry our teammates to these regions, like some type of military vehicles. Maybe have a mounted gun on them. It would be nice to have a campaign PVP mode, SEPARATELY.
Where we can control the machines and fight against survivors. 4v4. I would be fun to chase survivors around the map or set up ambushes with other “human controlled” machines waiting for unsuspecting survivors. I would love to be a Runner or Hunter and chase survivors inside bunkers, safe houses etc lol.
And I agree, more bosses would be awesome. Larger vehicles I think would work better once the map got opened up more. But PvP? I doubt that would happen.
It’s a stretch but I was thinking, what does most of all the biggest games out all have in common? PvP. Most people love to compete. So creating a “separate mode” could invite a different crowd to GZ. Because I’ll be honest, I love GZ but after you’ve done and seen everything in the game, it gets pretty monotonous.
There is actually no reason for a pvp.
Why should resistance fight each other?
Or do you think of fighting as a robot against humen?
Of course there are scenarios you could think about. But in this open world it won’t be possible to get a good result without creating a whole new game.
I thought of something like in C&C Renegade.
There could be the human players who play the resistance fighters in first person as usual and one player who plays fnix like in a real time strategy game.
The fnix player could be able to switch to first person view of one machine for a short time.
Just an idea, but nothing to seriously think about for GZ.
One of the best things of GZ is that there is no ingame competition. No pvp. It makes GZ somehow unique in this time of Battle royal likes.
That’s why it’s the only game I’m playing for about a year now.
And because it’s evolving like it is through all those updates and dlc it’s far away from getting monotonous. In my opinion.
Yes, fighting as a robot against human survivors. 4 robots vs 4 humans. But open world, kinda like L4D. Survivors have to get from point A to point B but are attacked by these bots (controlled by players too). It could be fun and exciting because as a survivor, you’ll never know what ingenious ways people could create to attack you. But this should be a separate mode and not part of the core game. Because I love the main story but sometimes I wonder what it would be like to fight as a FNIX robot against survors
The main game will be left untouched. This would be a completely separate mode. Have you ever played any L4Ds? You have your campaign “regular mode” then you have your VS. 2 completely separate game modes. This is why L4D is one of the greatest games ever create. Proven stats. This feature would draw in a different type of people who wants to compete. Something for everybody
Yes! There are many ways to do this. If you’re a tank, you can have to about to spawn hunters and runners in certain areas to create an ambush. If you’re a hunter, then you can spawn other runners or call for a tank and harvester in the area to attack survivors. You can be a seeker and spy on survivors, luring more machine to the area for bigger attacks etc. The ideas are limitless. And I’m just spitting from random thoughts right now. But if we really sit down and think of ways, this could be fun. If its machines are spawn up to 10 bots, that’s 40 machines in one fight plus the 4 controlled machines. Imagine chasing unsuspecting survivors deep inside the bunkers when they least expect it. A complete game changer in that game mode. Too many ideas for this
There are indeed some nice ideas.
But as I said before:
Not for our GZ. If you want to add to a game everything that every player probably could be satisfied with it, you loose the core. You loose the soul. And I guess you would loose this great community in some way.
But as said in another topic where I suggested the creation of an own great IP with different games, our GZ could be one part of a universe with other game types. The open world survival coop game it is now, a RTS, a game like you said, maybe a Battle Royal version…
Too much added to our GZ would bring too much problems.
You’re not gonna lose the core if they add a SEPARATE game mode. You’ll still have your regular game mode, but they can create a VS option on the main screen. I’ve SAID that several times. I love the core game, I’ll never want that to change, hence why I don’t agree with Tenebris Body Modifications. But I would like to compete and control the machines sometimes too. Because let’s be honest, the campaign gets pretty boring. Especially for veterans like me that have done, seen and unlocked everything. I’ve lost about 30 friends in the last yr, because they all got tired of the same thing every day, plus the crashes. They literally stopped playing the game.
So your way of saving the game is to make it like Cod with robot that is not fun because you only have 4 enemies that whould make a very fast and small battle.
Your comprehension level is a little slow. I just explained 40 mins ago how it could be done. I said, the bots you control can spawn 10 other machines like runners and runner or call for tanks nearby to aid in the fight against the humans. That’s 4 x10
EQUALS 40 machines! See the above paragraph smh. But all this is JUST an idea. They could make it better if they really decide to do this.
And I don’t like where the game would go with this idea.
Make it an own game, but don’t change the original game that way. As I said some minutes ago it would destroy its core. It would make it to some casual stuff CoD is.
I like CoD… The campaign and even the normal multiplayer in the beginning.
But the battle pass system and finaly warzone destroyed the original game in my eyes. Of course, it brought all the battle royal fans and all the ones who like to pay for every new skin to the game, but its soul got lost. After some month it didn’t make much fun to me because it became a cow. The player base changed and the sensible people turned away from the multiplayer. Problems the singleplayer/coop had have been untouched… Just for the cow. And that’s something no one of the GZ veterans would like to see.
The story, the mystery and the world and setting… Everything which makes this a great and unique game, would become secondary.
This part of the game would die and the fast, small pvp always in action part would persist just as long as the next better pvp shooter would come. That would be the end of our GZ.
