I’ve been playing with a friend of mine and not long after we got into the game we noticed that some of the robot were appearing with camo paint, instead of the construction orange color and soon after the camos came the black and red. From what I’ve looked up and what I’ve figured out by playing the classes are Prototype, Military/Army, FINX (Phoenix), and Apocalypse, which my friend and I haven’t seen a lot of but I know are out there.
What I want to know is; what are the differences between these classes? The difference in armor, firepower, and looks are plain as day, but I don’t know any exact differences. For instance I know that FINX runners can have rocket launchers, but Prototypes cannot. I also know Prototypes are the lightest in terms of armor. But if there are any differences in behavior or overall weaponry/armor for each class, or if there are specific differences between each robot type (i.e. a Military Tank vs a Apocalypse Tank) It would help my friend and I greatly.

The differences are manifold and one particularly important one is hit points. Apocalypse machines are genuine bullet sponges, not only because of armor (e.g. shoot the shoulder mounted mortar of Apo hunters, you’ll see).
I suggest to watch some youtube vids in addition to your own in-game experience. Unfortunately, I have not and cannot recommend any in particular. But I know that many content creators put out stuff for GZ.
Have fun playing!
PS: The machine blueprints might also help you once you find them. They work in conjunction with the binocular’s tech view mode.
