Will there be a player vs player option/area?

I’ve heard and read a LOT about single-player and co-op/co-op matchmaking, but is there going to be PvP for any reason? If so will it be optional or something that’s always a possibility? I just looked on steam and it says single-player, co-op, but also just MULTI-PLAYER.

Hoping there won’t be to be honest! Just looking forward to the story and gameplay :grin:

The game is a pure PVE environment.
