Wishlist for improvements part 1

I have been thoroughly enjoying this game and thank the devs for making such a fun and unique game. It is quite like no other. There are some things I come across that I would love to get addressed or improved.

  1. I would really like a skill made that will multiply threat points. In order to farm Rivals and get better gear.

  2. Also some sort of skill that can do a sensor for finding enemies. Or a way on the difficulty settings to change parameters for spawn rate. I understand the map is huge and it’s fun to come across enemies organically but. This is moreso in Himfjall where it’s very hard to build up threat score.

  3. Also to be able to recycle down weapon parts from attachments, they are essentially weapon parts so don’t know why this is not the case.

  4. Much more generous drops of cement too, ie have high level enemies or the Reaper/Tyrant drop them. I think this would make it less grindy to new players.

  5. More generous drops for apparel points too. And some sort of skill for treasure hunting to find apparel points/ schematics and high level loot in a nearby area. Finding schematics detailed in say an industrial area feel like a needle in a haystack

  6. The ability to send components and stuff I want to recycle into a plundra box within the recycling station. Rather than walking to and fro dumping bits and pieces in. Fair enough to say this takes an element of work out the game so perhaps have it unlockable after the main story is completed. There are other games (FF7 Rebirth) that remove the inconvenient factor after game completion so it makes replayability more fun and accessible.

  7. New runner type that you can load up with gear and components and send back to a safe house to automatically unload into a Plundra box and then return back to the player

  8. Few times now found a 4 crown weapon and upgraded it, then found a 5 crown, having to find resources all over again is frustrating. Would be great to refund weapon upgrades and get back the materials or simply transfer them to my new higher quality weapon

That was all for now but I probably have more and will make a new entry

You don’t find schematics any more.
These are just additional schematic points. You earn schematic points also by crafting something.

Maybe I mixed schematics with something else but I meant when there are random parts on the map you can pick up apparel points

That’s what I answered.
By crafting apparel you get apparel crafting schematic points.

Oh! I see! I will give that a try. Thanks bud

I just crafted some bullet proof boots from basic to five crown it didn’t give me any apparel points?

Excuse me, I were wrong… Or at least confused by the rules for item crafting.

You get higher apparel schematics by killing rivals.

Apparel Crafting
Crafting requires Schematics and Resources. Schematics allow the player to craft a particular set of attributes for a specific type of apparel that you already obtain. Before the FNIX Rising update (June 2020), you could only get one crown schematics. After the update, you could obtain up to five crown schematics. Around the map, you can find one crown and two crown schematics. To get higher level schematics, you need to kill Rivals, which drop the top 3 tiers of schematics with equal chance of a 3c, 4c or 5c quality, regardless of the class, type or Rival level of the machine. With a full set(4 pieces) of five crown schematics, you can have up to 20% resistance to a certain type of damage.

Currently, only four pieces of apparel can have schematics applied to: Jackets, Shirts, Pants, and Shoes. The only exception is Gas Masks, which are categorized as Eyewear, and have a fixed benefit of 20% gas resistance.

Nope, this was also changed when Crafting changed entirely. You need to kill Rivals for Schematic Points for the Apparel schematics, its 1 no matter the level, even including if its a Boss

I had all my schematics completed long before this change, so I wasn’t sure and relied on the wiki.

i watched a utube video to locate the scematics, when they use 2 get scattered all over the map, some things just impossible to find unless you comb everything

I’ve recently 100% completed a new run (all missions incl. all DLCs, all weapons/attachments (bar a few that have never appeared), all augmentations, all collectables - as far as bugs allow), which roughly equated to 350 hrs or so, however I’m still only around 2/3 through apparel upgrades and 3/4 through experimental unlocks. At this point it should basically all be done, given how low impact most of the final unlocks are compared to the end-game effectiveness of augs and experimental weapons.

My suggestion would be to tie rival and base defence/offence points to their levels. For balance sake it could be done like this:

Rivals:
lvl 1 - 2 = 1 point
lvl 3 - 4 = 2 points

Base Defence/Offence
lvl 1 - 2 = 1 point
lvl 3 = 2 points

This is a conservative approach of course (which I think is often a better fine-tuning strategy in this game). It could just be made that points are 1 for 1 with rival/base level, but that might accelerate things too much. It also gives more incentive to let the rivals/bases ‘mature’ and a reason to tackle higher difficulty defence missions.

There’s a LOT more that can be said, but I’ll leave it there for the moment.

That’s it.
Of course, apparel is defensive while the augmentations and weapons are offensive.
But in most cases you don’t really feel the effect of the crafted apparel.

Only exception maybe that I really noticed: jump shoes, because I then was able to reach a place that I wasn’t able to reach before. Yeah.

~10% t-shirt visibility~10% jacket visibility~10% pants visibility~10% shoes visibility(~§~)skills 20% visibility level 1~skills 40% visibility level 2(~§~) Sound Muffling Augmentation (~§~) silencer

Pretty much. So far I’ve unlocked all ballistic, explosion, jump and impact. The rest are all in low tiers, but that still equates to a little less than half remaining - and that’s after farming rivals/bases quite a bit. My character’s around lvl 83 as well, so I could have effectively unlocked virtually all skills if they weren’t capped. The apparel and experimental are just super grindy for little benefit at this point, especially since everything else was completed weeks ago. Although the previous system of acquiring apparel upgrades was more random, I don’t think it was anywhere near this slow.

Before the schematic hunting changed, there were level 1 and 2 schematics all over the map. You had to destroy tons of machines to get level 3-5 off those machines and was very random so did take a very long time for some of them. With a lot of repeat finds.

Now if you know what it takes to get the points for schematics, you just do that and it’s automatic you get the points, nothing random about it. Seems a lot easier now and just as grindy. You destroy rivals, you get points.
