About and hour and half ago (as of this writing) I won a beta key through the final raffle of October 19th. I was supposed to receive a DM from the raffle organizer or from someone associated with the game that contained my key. Said keys from this raffle are only valid for 10 minutes at which time, the key goes back into the pool for someone else to win.
No message was received at the 5 minute mark, only a friend request from the raffle host. (I was only made aware for the request after reaching out in discussion channel to another raffle winner)
With about a minute to go on the 10 minute timer, I went to message the host on discord to make sure he didn’t forget me or get a status update. Unfortunately for me, they had gone offline for the night without sending me any sort of message, just a friend request (which I accepted as soon I saw it).
I then reached out to the discussion channel to try and figure out what was going on and what I needed to do. I was replied to by one of the mods that in short stated that because I didn’t reply or redeem the code in time, I wouldn’t be receiving a code and the only way to win one would be to get one would be to get one in a raffle (which I had just done), from the forums, or from other streamers. When I mentioned that I just won a raffle key but never got a message, I was told that I would have to work it out the the raffle host. The raffle host who was now offline and unreachable.
My main gripe is; how could I have redeemed a code that I never received to begin with.
tl;dr Won a beta key is a discord raffle. Per it’s rules I was to get a DM with the code. Never got the DM, time expired, didn’t get key.
