Cannot get Network Infiltration to work (Xbox Series X)

So as you’ll see from my other posts over in:

I am having HUGE problems getting this mission to work, even after yesterday’s post-launch patch.

So far I’ve had (in order):

  • Destroy shield generators - no hatch appears, base starts regenerating.
  • Destroy Shield generators - no network infiltration point in basement, only summon reaper or vulture options.
  • Destroy Shield Generators - Hatch remains shielded, base starts regenerating (Gardberg Mine Control Point).
  • (And now…) Destroy Shield Generators - White light for hatch appears, but it’s from inside a closed loop of wall, and once I blow through the wall with the rocket launcher, the light goes away, and there is no hatch within (Tylovenden Control Point).

So I really have to question, are we even supposed to be able to play this mission?

Of course.

Possible explanations:

The hatch doesn’t have to appear. It is always there, but just in lvl3 FNIX bases.

Possible. For me it was the same at the first base assault, but the mission counter still counted 1/5. That’s because Veronika does some, too. At my 4th base assault it was the same.
So in this case your don’t have to do more there, just go to the next base.

Idk if you really destroyed all 4 shield generators. I never had the issue that the shields were on after I destroyed all.

If the shields are down, the hatches can be damaged and destroyed like any other structure of a base.
You blew it up. Don’t use explosives to reach the hatch.

I’ve only been attacking level 3 bases (presumably that’s indicated by having all three diagonal lines filled in red on the map icon?)

Well I DID destroy them all. There were no lights projecting upwards, and I walked around the structure repeatedly. There were no shield generators remaining.

What am I supposed to use, harsh language?

What ever you want… From brännboll bat over shotgun to minigun.

Just was an idea for an explanation. The lights don’t always can be seen, especially if you’re too close.

You could have destroyed the hatch. This can happen if you use Heavy guns / granates to break down the walls.

Btw if you mouse over a FNIX control Point it will show if a hatch is there, that way you be sure to have a level 3.

I’ve gone back some distance, there were no lights, and I spent ~10 mnutes walking around the base, I didn’t miss anything.

I’d be more sanguine about this explanation IF I didn’t have actual screenshot proof of these issues:

…the entire base, at night - no shield generator lights, and the hatch still shielded. Bug, pure and simple.

I’m on console so no mouse, but yes, I’m checking the “unusual signal detected” overlay at the top right is there.

I am not sure that the generators keep sending a red beam up when they are partly destroyed. I should test that out. If all the generators are destroyed you should be able to do damage to the big red command center. That would be an easy test, next time.

If this problem happens every time, then I would agree that this is a bug. If this only happens once in a while, it just an annoyance. At least that how see those thing that happen in games. :coffee:

Edit: I tested and yes, the red generator beams stay up until completely destroyed.

Not sure, but I think there were reports from others who had issues with the shield generators at this control point.

I can’t or won’t test it there, as I have an own resistance base at that location.

What about other locations?

I mostly use the farmlands bases and never had issues.
