Name: Jonas Gustafson

Age: 20

Occupation pre apocalypse: Swedish Navy Basjägare (Base security, directly translated to Base Hunter)

Occupation post apocalypse: Still sees himself as his former job but now he is also an instructor for the resistance. He is often called out to train new members. And sometimes he is called to do offensive raids against FNIX

Special move: Rangers. In battle he will call in two resistance members from nearby bases to help fight. They are trained as rangers by him. If the nearest base is far away then it will take longer for them to arrive.

Weapon: AK5 and his sidearm is a möller

home: A red house in östervik, and a rediness storage with other resistance members (mostly military survivors as he sees them as family).

Personality:
He was a happy man until the apocalypse. Now he is cold and he just wants to destroy machines. But he still does talk to people as he is an instructor and an important member of the resistance. He recently met a girl in one of the bases who have made him a happier.

History: He began his job as Basjägare at satlholmen navalbase after his military training. He was there when it fell and after that he have been wandering around surviving. He thought he was the only remaining soldier for a while but then he met the resistance who gladly invited him to join. He did and his job is to train new members. But he will sometimes get tasks to do like raiding FNIX bases or rescuing lost fighters. He wants to build up the resistance to be similar to the army as he wants for the soldiers to have the best training.

Name: Frija Tindra Lindgrensen

Age: almost 66

Occupation: Outdoor Nature Guide

Special move: Crawling through enemy lines without them knowing what hit them.

History: Moved from Trollhättan to Hagaboda. Got married and had three children
A son Hölger and twin daughters Änna and Perla. Got widowed when she lost her husband Hagar to the unforgiving Mount Everest in 1953. Those were hard times. Taking care of the little ones on her own made her resourceful and tough. A force to reckon with.
In 1965, she won first price ‘Target Shooting’ at Vassholmens Skytteklubb. Marksman difficulty. Now, it’s 1989, she is still strong and fit and joined Elsa’s group called “The Resistance” as recon ghost, silent but deadly!

Name: Lasse Reden
Age: 19
Occupation: Musician
Special move: Guitar riff of death
History:
The child of Swedish Jarla Hansen and German Thomas Reden, he grew up mostly in Buxtehude/Germany, where he played in a thrash metal band. His mother sent him to Östertörn regularly from the age of 10 so that he could finally learn Swedish. He still can’t speak it properly.

At the time of the blackout, he was at the Himfjäll festival with his band Bloody Deathclaw. As he was drinking a lot of beer during the performance and afterwards, he completely missed the incident in the caravan and woke up on an empty festival site.

Feels like this competition came at a fantastic time, I’d just finished this doodle a few days ago! I look forward to seeing everyone’s submissions.

Introducing Henrike Ulvsson! She used to be a waitress, but now she’s a marksman with an S21 and a heroic streak. She wears a jacket and trousers augmented with FNIX armor pieces. Her special move is the Hunter Rodeo, where she climbs on to the back of a Hunter in a pack and uses sticky flares to keep it shooting at its robotic allies. In theory. She hasn’t actually done it yet.

(I couldn’t find out the Generation Zero font so I used Impact, I hope it’s not too strange.)

Name: Magnus Ekberg.

Age: 24.

Occupation: Stage technician and aspiring performer.

Special move: Will spontaneously start singing and playing air drums or air guitar at any time. Sometimes, he’ll even light up a flare or firework to brighten someone’s day, man or machine. He may even share from his supply with players.

History: The love for music is Magnus’ driving force. His passion led him to Östertörn, where he’s currently forced to remain. Through the entire year of 1989, Magnus had driven across most of Scandinavia, visiting every major music festival and rock concert that he could make time for. A few months prior to the cataclysm, Magnus got a job as a stage technician, and began working with a concert organizer.

Back in november, they were arranging the Hällberga Festival on Himfjäll, when suddenly they were attacked by an unknown force of deadly machines. In the ensuing panic and confusion, Magnus and some others managed to escape into Rönhålla emergency shelter.

Over the last months his group has scattered, yet Magnus remains at Rönhålla. After weeks of scavenging parts and equipment, he has built a formidable stage and a setup of loudspeakers, lights, amps and instruments inside the bunker, safe from any enemy’s audio sensors. Magnus is happy to welcome in any fellow survivor to share and enjoy music with. He’ll be especially happy if somebody wants to play in the band alongside him.

Magnus is outspoken, beaming with musicality, and no matter the situation he always has a smile on his face.

Name: Carlos Massaranduba Silva
Age: 34 Occupation: Metal Legend / Roadie
Special Move: Ratcatcher’s Riff. Carlos accidentally discovered that he can put the smaller machines into a trance when he plays his guitar. He doesn’t know what to do after that.
History: Carlos “Silva not Santana” discovered late in life that he didn’t have as much talent for making a living from music as he always imagined. After the end of the band Massacration, of which he was the 4th replacement guitarist, he found a way to work in the music business, thus being able to live his dream. More or less.

Carlos was hired as a rodie by the band Bloody Deathclaw and then traveled to Sweden. And so he found himself in the midst of the machines apocalypse accompanied by his guitar, triangle, colorful clothes and an immense desire to return to Brazil. Carlos is colorblind and has always thought that, in his words, “the Hulk was a brown angry man”.
