Currently there are 6 experimental weapons in Generation Zero. This list will provide a variety of ideas for future updates. Feel free to leave any of your ideas below and what you think of this list.
Moller PP: Possess a nanotechnological grip that when held increase movement speed, stamina amount, stamina recharge rate and damage reduction to all sources by +10%.
Magnus: Shoots experimental gyrojets that when striking a target will explode causing staggering and a chance for the target to be knocked down.
Sjoqvist Semi-auto: Shoots lasers instead of bullets and has infinite ammo and magazine size at the cost that each shot drains 3% of your max health. To counter this the gun also comes with a blood transfusion augment that passively provides a health regeneration effect when held (1% of max health regeneration per second.)
HP5: Possess a specialised magazine that passively transfers bullets into the current magazine from your stockpile even when firing. (3 bullets per second.)
Meusser Hunting Rifle: Possess an attached signal disruptor that reduces the players visibility by +40%. It also possess a specialised suppressor that reduces weapon noise by +40%.
Algstudsare Hunting Rifle: Possess a tesla coil attachment that when shot, bullets arc electricity dealing an equal amount of damage inflicted on the first target to other targets in its effective arc radius (15 meters.)
AI-76: Possess an underbarrel EMP flechett launcher attachment. The EMP flechetts create a radius of 20 meters for 20 seconds of which the enemies within it are shut down until the timer is up. Can stick to targets and surfaces. (Cool down time: 120 seconds.)
AG5: Possess a jet nozzle barrel and a specialised magazine container that atomically converts bullets into Hydrochloric acid (HCL). Sports increased rate of fire and has limited range. (10 meters.)
I havenāt yet though about the new weaponry added in the Alpine Unrest DLC. So that will come soon. Leave a like and comment bellow. Happy Hunting!!!
I think that Iāll take the credit for this idea :
What I would really (not) like to see is a Propeller Beanie. That would come in handy if you end up in a tough fight, where you have used all your anti-matter bullets to no avail. Then you simply fly away. It could also solve the problem of the completely unrealistic fast travel between safe houses. Just turn on the propeller and go there in a jiffy as the crow flies.
I actually very much like your idea regarding the under barrel attachment for assault rifles. After browsing the net a bit, it seems that this exists in various shapes and forms (e.g. M26 modular accessory system). Iām not a weapons guy and know very little in that regard, but shot gun or grenade launcher attachments to our assault rifles would be really cool and I would buy into that idea 100%. (Being absolutely serious in case of any doubt )
I still donĀ“t get it if this is for real or not
A grenade launcher attachment would be great
I would like to see an Experimental Magnum , but not really one that sends foes flying, more of an explosive ammo type.
The game focuses in realism, and i would like it to keep that way.
But hey if it was a Fallout, Just Cause or Red faction game those ideas would rock!
But whyā¦?
I can see youāve spent some time thinking of these, but I struggle to see the reason for even more weapons. The extra abilities here feel a lot closer to magic than they do secret 80s advanced weapons lab. They feel like they belong in another game.
Maybe they are unrealistic to some extent, but the point is that the experimental class of weapons donāt necessarily equal good, there just different and I think anything different can be turned into anything fun!!!
I donāt see what the fuss is about more guns more variety i say , and as for ā Experimental ā weapons taking over the 5* golds ,. Who cares ā thats why they are called experimental āā to fit with the game , is a shooter game after all
Iām kind of standing at a crossroad here, and I think the game is the same. Until the introduction of the experimental weapons I pretty much bought the setting. Fighting robots in late 80ās Sweden ā¦ naaah ā¦ but then again ā¦ with Bofors and Saab teaming up financed by ABBA? Yes, that would work!
But then the experimental weapons revealed, that it was just pure fantasy after all. Hmmm ā¦ if IKEA stepped in too financed by Vikingarna? Hmmmm ā¦
Which road should I choose: āBuy into the settingā or āThe wide wings of fantasyā. Help me out here, guys! Once I start walking, there will be no turning back.
Keeping in line with actual experimental weapons of the past, something like the gyrojet
Mini rocket propelled rounds, and as for a special abilities it could stick to a target and push said target around. For example you shoot a hunter and it could knock it down for a few seconds, or make a runner tumble. Maybe tanks would just have their accuracy degraded. Let me know what you think.
