Yet want the game to be easier for the few more hours you may play the game and never get any experience to play the game.
Epic stuff.
If ur so camacho go play guerilla solo with a pistol and leave me alone.
Meanwhile if leave ur bones in front of ur screen will give u a medal, no worries!
Dude, if u play since '19 , have 1K+ hours and still play adventure difficulty , joke’s on you!
And stating the obvious again nerfing something in adventure mode won’t affect all u pros playing at guerrilla difficulty , then again u don’t protest at all for all the rest of the enemy units that are way easier to kill , go figure!
Like i say, depends on what u want to achieve, so its probably on purpose as power creep to sell weapon DLCs , hence the over-reaction…
Any developer claims and promotes “immersive gameplay bla bla bla” (in GZ wiki it even says that FB auto-cannon is based on a real 23mm soviet weapon) , but the moment a player questions something it becomes “arcade”, “sci-fi” etc. lmao
Ok, I think it’s enough.
Everyones free to chose his difficulty settings. Either for fun or for a challenge or even for masochism.
We now know that Adventure is too hard for you (as all machines, firebirds included, are nerfed in this mode a lot). Fine. So stop crying, offending and provoking now. Please.
@Zesiir May I please you to clean this topic?
Thx
ahaha under the carpet quickly
thats why reddit was made…
Nah, you are just super annoying, its been more than 1 week since you created this topic and have been complaining.
1 week and you still cant handle the enemies with the amount of ammo and weapons the game has to offer?
Damn…
Just play something else…
That just shows how much you DON’T know about the game and how powerful some of the pistols are as you gain skills and higher level weapons. I personally have not played adventure in the last 1800 hours or so…honestly don’t know how long it’s been.
You want the game to be adjusted to your lack of skills and experience. But you are not the first. Same posts about nerfing the hunters, tanks and harvesters even. Then the reaper was to powerful for beginners. Then it was the wolf and lynx when the Soviet machines were introduced to the game. And now it is the firebirds.
You are at a pool of water and put just your toe in and the water is too cold for you but all others are enjoying the refreshing feel of the cool water. But you want to whine to all that will listen to adjust the temp of the water, but all you really need to do is jump in and enjoy it too.
Even if you get your way, you won’t enjoy it but be content you screwed it up for all those that follow.
All I can say is if the flying can is difficult for you I’d stay off the dlc island cuz you’re going to quit and demand a refund the first time you meet the slew of apoc runners that irradiate you with a DOT effect. That or you’ll want that nerfed too.
As long as nobody is breaking any forum rules and people are respectful with eachother and their opinions, no cleanup is necessary.
This is great to show they aren’t bad. Nice work.
For me the Firebirds was the biggest fright I have had in the game. I also thought that they were impossible and I considered quitting playing the game.
Then suddenly it hit me: maybe I’m not supposed to be in this area until I have more experience, better weapons, more ammo and have leveled up. So I just stayed clear of the areas where the FBs are roaming for many, many hours of game play.
Then I found the hacking specialization and killed FBs after FBs with ease. Now I use the Sharpshooter specialization and the FBs are harder again…but now I know how to take them out from far using the Exp PVG and hiding.
My thoughts about the difficulty of the FBs is that they are watchdogs put there by the devs to keep noob players away from the northern parts of the maps until they are ready to take that area on.
These types of topics, wanting the machines to be nerfed, should be married to the topics where the players want the weapons and ammo nerfed. That should be an interesting debate.
On one hand, the player doesn’t want to have to spend a lot of time learning how to play the game and on the other hand the player learned how to play but thinks the weapons are the cause that makes the game too easy for them. One COULD just spend more time learning how to destroy the machines, meanwhile avoiding the mean old machines, and the other could just use lower-level weapons. Both want the game to be edited to better fit how they want to play. Neither will be satisfied if either gets their way and stops playing the game.
Just think how that would be if they both were trying to design their own game together.
I am glad I stumbled across this post, it gave me a good laugh. I have only been playing for a lil over a month on adventure mode as well. I recall strolling a lil to far north and watching the soviet and swede mechs go at it and enjoyed the show… right up until they noticed me and all hell broke loose. I I recall being level 18-19ish with 3c weapons… I booked it out of there, sadly to the north and encountered my first FB… thing killed me before I could get a shot off. I got pissed and hit the revive. threw everything I had at the thing and it killed me over and over. as @Paxman said, it finally dawned on me I don’t belong here. I did a lil research on youtube, found some Much better gear, gained a few skill points that mattered, took advantage of farming the farmlands of Rivals and a couple reapers. I was quickly lvl 31, respec’d skill points to my play style and now I eat FB’s up with no issue. like any other mech in the game including the dreaded (not really) Reaper there are always ways to take them out quickly, and while I have most of the exp weapons I don’t carry any of them. don’t ask why cause I don’t have a good answer LOL. but ya when you first come across them they suck… bad… later you’ll be dropping 3 at a time with a grin. for any new players that may come across this thread like I did. once you hit the farmlands just hit the breaks, farm all the mechs, learn their attack patterns, gain lvls, gain loot, build up rivals and eventually go after reapers too. I have just over a month played (got the game in the Sept PSN free game drop). I have not ventured out of the farmlands except for a few 5c weapons that are mission related (youtube is your friend here) and got stronger and at the moment I am just loving the grinding of bases, Rivals and reapers. I personally dont see any enemy thats needs a nerf… that first FB though… ya, that one still pisses me off, but I learned
Really good post from a player that remembers what it was like to be a novice! LOL
well, in all honesty, with only a lil over a month having the game its pretty easy to remember. I am def not one of the OGs that I watch on youtube to get better, find stuff, etc but thank you
Really nice write up Celticphoenix! My first FB was by some radio tower facility and something about a police car…can’t really remember. There was also a bunch of Russian Lynx there (Which I still hate. They are easy to kill but pack such a heavy punch that you never feel safe when they are around). I tried to run around in the woods like a crazy person but the FB and the Lynx wrecked me over and over. I just gave up and stopped playing for a while and then I came to the realization that I needed to back off and buff my character.
thats exactly what had me laughing throughout the whole thread. I still find the wolves and lynxes far worse since they literally travel in packs. their salvos of missiles drive me nuts. straight up they’re easy to drop quick but with 2 wolves and an army of angry bowling balls… thats alot of bombardment. still trying to master sprint dodge. but theirs comes so fast with the lynx volleys right behind it. and thats not taking into consideration the south coast, waves of Apocs. thats is straight up nasty. you have to move slow and pull out the exp 90 and stay back as best you can cause their waves are so intense. but ya I am still butt hurt over that first FB and he was alone and drained my adrenaline and heal kits… I have only killed 18 since then per the stats but they fall fast…finding them afterwards to loot is a whole nother issue
but all joking aside, I don’t see anything mech or weapon that needs to be nerfed. I hope with the free PSN they did last month boosted the player base and the game lives on. it is a fun game in so many ways. is it polished? no. bugs? plenty. difficulty spikes? absolutely. but for those that are new I hope they stick with it, for the old players that the devs fix long standing issues and they come back cause it is a pretty ambitious game they created. big dreams with a small team behind it. every encounter can be overcome, sometimes that means just running for the hills and find another way to approach that battle… if at all. between lures and distractions there are so many ways to approach things. hopefully this thread amounts to a learning lesson for the new. take your time, level up, get better gear and skills. some places you can run and gun others you gotta pick them off from a distance to get the advantage. I am a run and gunner. but alot of times I have to hit the plundra and get the exp 90 out and move slow. i dont find it fun but in the end its rewarding.
Very well stated again. Sure you don’t have 1000’s of hours at Gen Zero?
I think my first encounter with the FBs was in the North Coast region completing the Soviet missions with the Soviet Beacons. There were lynx and wolves involved, then a single firebird charges in. At I was dodging the fire from all the Soviet machines a second FB shows up with popcorn. I rounded a building to my surprise a third FB starts throwing blasts at me. I think it knocked me down a few times and I had to take a shot to get back up. The lynx were closing in on me dancing around the buildings along the coast but picked them off one by one while trying to take cover from the FB and get good angles to take them down.
For a while you could go back to the area and still encounter the same machines, minus one FB and a few lynxes. The forum lit up with inexperienced players whining that the area was bugged, and it quickly became a ghost town again.
A lot of the really good battlefields, hot spots, from the past have been removed due to new players not liking to do battle. When all they need to do is not stay and fight.
nope I only have 1 day of in combat time and I love those engagements. the longest battle i have been in is 23mins straight. and no it wasnt any of the 3 reapers I have taken down. it was getting caught in the north east area of farmlands between three rivals. 2 fenix harvesters and a fenix tank, mobs of hunters and runners as far as i could see… it was hell on earth… 6k rounds fired and thankfully i had my rpg on me at the time. i dont even recall how many times i died… i was looting for ammo at the end cause it just wouldnt seem to end. I got so much good loot at the end it was crazy. i was amped from the fight running in and out of the trees for cover and then the loot. best fight ever.
