Console July onwards
Was hoping for June but if the extra time works out some issues go on ahead and take the time
no change to bunker 666…
Actually you dont kill fnix after the main story quest, so having fnix bulding bases in an “beginner” area of the map doenst screw up the game but what needs to be done is that the fnix rising story should only be playable after you finished the main story cause it continues the main story.
Why isnt Veronica standing next to Elsa in the Hotel after you completed the main mission? Did she get killed or captured?
Same discussion topics merged.

If you’ve played Alpine Unrest then you should know that during The Hellmouth mission, Elsa says to you that she and Veronika got separated at some point. Hence why Elsa and Veronika aren’t together when you meet both of them separately.
I never said you did where did you get that from?
Would be cool if you could inform them of each other and reunite them.
Does anyone know how much the new DLC is going to cost for when it comes out on console looking at Canadian dollars here I looked through the forum and couldn’t find anything on this topic so I’m kinda curious as to what pc players paid for it
Merged topics. It costs 8 euro on PC, probably something similar adjusted for inflation and whatnot.

Revisiting this topic because I got to play through the story in a more stable state. The experience overall and changes it brings are worth the price, but I gotta say it wasn’t anything mind-shattering. Story is pretty nice in it’s basics, playing on a really well-known trope of sacrifice, but at no point did it affect me the way it was supposed to. I saw the intention, but I didn’t experience it just because the story was so rushed. Severely rushed.
Please, Devs… Take more time on this. FNIX’s interventions were strange, our survivors still talking on a compromised channel was strange, the junkjard ‘oh look down, what is that? oh, data… we know where it is’ convenience was strange, Veronika’s I gotta up and leave soon after the ending moments was strange. Still, when hanging around the NPCs for the few minutes the two of them were there was like standing near empty vessels. Just… idle animation and no acknowledgement of your existence.
On a positive note, the free content that went out outside of the DLC is really fair to the playerbase and the changed landscape is really showing how difficult FNIX is to handle in reality. Environment with the fog throughout the story seems much more solid. Looking back and looking now, I can see that constructing the environment has been nailed down. If it wasn’t for the strange pauses for dialog in off-key moments, the whole presentation would be also really well done in this specific game’s type. Just that there was no justification or space to take in the events one after another.
I hope to see better and continue the hunt for meaning
Pufty as always you’ve hit it right on the head here.
Between you and Reece - I’m still struggling to get a foundation to it all because of how choppy it all is - there’s gonna be some reply time in the logs for me to try and piece together not only your own thoughts we discussed prior to release - but my own take on the future of FNIX.
The ending also unsettles me.
EDIT : Can anyone also confirm that they have actually seen and fought an Apocalypse Harvester while playing the DLC?
Can confirm, yep. Seen them both on Himfjäll and on the main island. Mean SOB’s, they are.
Ha! I’ve got a little trick to Harvesters that I genuinely…CANNOT WAIT to try on one of these
Have seen three so far, 1st in Anl 118 (Marshlands), 2nd in Granhygget (Forest) and 3rd became score spawn rival in Himfjäll.
Haven’t fought with them as of yet. But they all have 4x apo hunters as guards. So, they pose a considerable threat.
Not from my part. Busy with missions and challenges. But once i get to the challenge where i need to take out 15 apo harvs then i’ll engage them.
How’s end stage of the new challenge menu?..anything to prepare for in advance?
I engaged one in Himfjäll that had an escort of 6 Apoc Hunters. Once it noticed me, it spawned in FOUR additional ones, and the party was really on at that point.
The Apoc Harvester releases a purple, damaging and highly flammable gas if you get too close. At range, it delivers a barrage of rockets just as normal Harvie’s, except these are Dirty Bombs, layering the area with radiation.
Once the fight was done I’d killed around 20 Apoc Hunters on top of the Harvester.
