That’s correct, even though this is a cryptic answer, Evie would approve.
A big salud for find the correct location.
I know but I didn’t want to spoil the location completely this time so others may still try and search for it…
Yes there is a lot to learn, and the game has a lot fighting but also many peaceful moments in it. Like praying at shrines, animal sketching, looking for scrolls, etc.
How you start is all up to you, I too tried to unlock several viewpoints in the beginning, but then I decided to do side and story missions and unlock those when needed. I like the use of the scouts-mechanic; you need to find out where you want to put your scouts effectively to find targets.
This house was partly built with brick and not surrounded by other houses, there aren’t too many of those.
I love when games give you the space to slow down and just absorb the world. I started off by unlocking a few viewpoints too this morning, just to get a feel for the map, but it’s reassuring to know that you can take your time and approach things however you want. The scouts mechanic sounds really clever, I haven’t fully explored it yet, but I’m looking forward to learning how to use it effectively as I go. It’s also a very big map compared to Ostertorn!
What a fascinating hybrid house. I don’t think I’ve ever come across this one before! From the looks of it, with that notice board visible through the window, it seems like the military may have taken over this homestead. Really looking forward to tracking this one down, it definitely stands out as something a bit different!
Where did you find this one?
Btw, you nailed it when you said there might be Soldiers near.
Hint: The house is near a south farmland town where the military were holding the front line against the machines.
Got it!!! That location had me baffled for ages! I never would’ve found it without your clue. I thought all the houses in that area were destroyed! 1002.206, 1902.204 in Aso!
Fantastic work on the birdhouses, by the way! I love that you keep discovering them. They’ve become my new obsession lately, so tricky to spot, but so satisfying when you do! I’m looking for more on Ashpolmen right now, then moving inland.
As for the first screenshot, that was a house just a couple of doors up from Veronika’s mother’s place in Källerby, coordinates: -2887.952, 2658.775. The elusive all-brick house!
These spot the location challenges continue to be outstanding. This particular one had me thoroughly engaged. I spot so much more other interesting things along the way. When I total up the time spent, it’s taken the best part of a full day to finally track this one down. Sincere thanks for the fun and effort you put into these. They’ve become a real joy for me!
That’s the correct house, but with a minor correction. The location’s name is Arneröd. This brick house was a bit special because its alone on a hill.
Know that I always gonna give clues if they are really hard to find. Just ask.
Am glad some people are still enjoying these. @Kimosabe_X also jumps in often. @Madchaser isn’t playing the game anymore, but he still offers an answer just from memory and deducting its location from environmental clues. I like that you even took the message board as a clue that was visible through the window.
And as you saw there are still new things to find. Yesterday I even thought it would have been a nice touch if the devs put a birdhouse somewhere in the rubble of devastated houses and trees.
Like this one, that i turned into a meme. Have you found that one?
I wonder if the fire is one that’s always burning there, or if it’s created by yourself, or opposing machines.
Btw…
I also wondered, If there are more doors like this.
Guess where it is.
Oh, I forgot, I lost the template for the postcard: Greetings from Östertörn.
Ah well… Yes I like your little picture hunts and when I find it interesting I fire up GZ and take some time to search. Sometimes more (like the views from Himfjäll back then) and sometimes less…
Btw my guess of the location of the half-brick house was spot on and I found it immediately as I remembered the location. But I didn’t want to spoil it for @TimData so I refrained from an answer to that one… The same goes for the one with the birdhouse a few days ago.
Yes, the fire is part of the scene. But not the bird.
Nice one. Can’t say I have seen that door before.
Btw, you can download the template in the first post of this topic, or just click this.
Now that door is pretty interesting.
I love that you turned this into a meme! I don’t think I’ve found that exact one yet, but now I’m definitely going to keep my eyes peeled! Got all my buddies looking for bird houses too! More fun than the Reaper!
That’s impressive! I usually take ages searching for these spots! So thanks a lot for holding back the answer, it’s appreciated! I spent 8 hours looking for one spot; took some lovely shots, got to the forum and someone else had beat me to it! I was gutted! But, at the end of the day it is a quiz and I’ve got suck it up! . Half the fun for me is the slow, methodical hunt, even if it takes a while. Feels so good when something is finally found. I’ve got the Ostertorn template to do one myself, but with no computer I can’t figure out how to superimpose with my phone!
I found it, But i don’t know if there are more door decorated like this. I will keep an eye out.
I reveal the location later, so others can have a look too.
I’m checking for doors today!!!
