Guess where it is? (refering to recent tweet)

You were right, right, right, and right. :point_left:

It seems that Östertörn has some Erratic Glacial rock deposits, I’m sure you have seen them. These are not the big roundish boulders, but the ones with sharp edges. This particular one caught my eye, outlined against the blue sky.

Hmmm…A very striking composition @Gysbert with the lone tree and solitary rock set against the bright blue sky. At first, I thought it was a World War II pillbox that you see around the map, but it’s just a squareish rock. For me the lone tree and rock represent isolation and survival. The tree symbolizes life and resilience, while the rock reflects the persistent, unyielding threat of FNIX. Framing them on a hill draws attention to this like a stage and having the blue of the sky behind almost makes it seem like a moment of calm and gives me a minute to reflect on the this conflict. Other than a bit of navel gazing, there’s not much else to go on except that you’re facing west. There’s a safe house to your left, and the trees are lightly dusted with snow. I’m guessing I’ll start in the mountain region along the border of the Marshlands and work down. The hill doesn’t seem too high, so I’ll use your map to find widely spaced contour lines for lower elevated hillocks.

Are you tracking this Safehouse in the photo?

No, this one is legit.
Hint: Best stay in a region where you seen other Glacial Erratics.

Okay, best hint ever! Keep an eye out for those massive boulders that seem completely out of place. “Glacial erratics” just became my new favourite term, I’m definitely dropping it into my next conversation! Onwards and upwards then!

New search Challenge

Make sure it’s night time, then travel to these coordinates -3868, 1542 on the road from Glennaröd to Sandbo. If you are close enough you can make out a light. I used the PVG shope to make the screenshot. Now try to find that light and post a picture.

Can you see the light … :sunglasses:

Praise Tatiana, I saw the light… :bulb:

Here is one of the famous swords scenes. A hunter’s sword stuck in a car door.

Finally managed to get on, so I’m late to the party once again! I’ve seen the light and now I’m hunting for the sword car. I’m sure I’ve come across this one before, but I just can’t place where; it’s such a frustrating feeling! On the way, I did stumble across this strange display on an alarm clock though! I wonder if there are more like it out there? I’ve yet to come across one with a time displayed.

That seems to be a nice Light Timmo.

About those timeless clocks, did you visit the clock cabin at the Ljuset Commune site on Himfjäll, there are a few, but all timeless too, I am afraid.

Thanks, I cranked the lens dirt!:joy: Yes, I’ve been to that cabin, such an unusual setup. The clock display I came across actually seems to have a separate display beneath it, likely a countdown for the alarm setting. I found it in a Soviet occupied house in Hagaboda, so perhaps it’s a specialized military alarm clock? Or a glitch!

This one is about twice as big as the usual Glacial Erratics I’ve seen. It’s not the biggest in the world by a long shot, but it is the biggest in GZ- game world. Now go and find it!

At long last, I’ve managed to pin down the location of the Hunter’s Sword impalement! I have to confess though, it wasn’t me but my Gnome brother who actually tracked it down. Still, a find is a find!:love_you_gesture:

Welldone TimGnome’s Gnome brother.
Now surely, that big rock must be easier than that tiny (in comparison) Hunter sword. :grinning:

We’re hard at it right now!:grin::grin:

The game has several bridges made of stone, Iron, wood or concrete. But have you ever found a nature built bridge forming natural path of bedrock moss and grass bridging a chasm in the game?

Now, without me posting a picture as well, that would make it less of a challenge can you post a picture of that natural bridge?

Thought I’d head to the Marshlands first and came across plenty of causeways. They’re fascinating in their own right and I’ve visited plenty of real tidal ones in Wales, they’re nature’s attempt at building bridges! For a while, I convinced myself that these must be what you were describing. I even stumbled across a beaver’s dam, which, if you’re generous with the definition, you could argue is a kind of bridge too.

But then I reread your description more carefully. I realised that what you meant wasn’t quite the same thing as the causeways or the dam. I spent a good portion of this morning retracing my steps and hunting the ground more thoroughly, determined to see if I could find something closer to what you had described.

I finally came across this stunning stone bridge -1697.804, -1398.979. In fact, once I found the first, I noticed there are actually several more of them scattered around this part of the Västra Mark cave system. I’m confident it meets every requirement you laid out.

And as if the discovery itself wasn’t rewarding enough, there was an added surprise waiting nearby: a little dog picture Easter egg tucked into one of the caves!

On a side note, has anyone actually come across the missing dog, Evie, from Länntorp Farm? I’ve searched all around that area, found the owner’s house, even located Evie’s kennel, but there’s no sign of her anywhere, not even a body nearby. The missing dog posters I’ve spotted are only around the church and the homestead, so I’m wondering if there are more scattered posters elsewhere in Östertörn? Out of curiosity I even tried ringing the phone number on the poster, but of course, it doesn’t exist in real life. It’d be so sad if the devs hadn’t put a resolution to this melancholy mystery one way or another.

Yes, I meant a natural bridge over a chasm. Causeways I do not consider bridges, nor beaverdams, which I have marked a long time ago on the map, you never saw that? :coffee:

This is what I meant. Well found. Great night picture, btw. :+1:

About Evie, I guess she was never found before her owners most likely were abducted by FNIX troops or killed. She could still be there surviving. It would indeed be great if we somewhere found evidence that answers our question “What happened to Evie?”. Maybe it can be found, I haven’t though.
