It actually has one open door on the porch facing the locked up car shed! Very useful safehouse so definitely stop by and give it another look over when you can @Mewster1
The gunclub safehouse isn’t completely blocked, one of the entrances can be opened like any normal door.
can’t believe I missed that.
It’s all good man, i think we’ve all had a moment where we’ve said that to ourselves at some point playing this game
Sod Muskudden! The whole lot repawn outside. 45 minutes battle, twelve hunters, ten Dogs and a Tank, all FNIX. Rotten defensive position, since not only are you tripping over the railway tracks every single time you want to move, but they can get in behind you through the tunnel to the right. Ended up with half the medkits and half the ammunition I started with. Tank dropped nothing except less 7.62 than I used to take them down and the Hunters gave nothing except 400-odd rounds of .44 hollow point. Why would anyone need 400 rounds of pistol ammo? I must have a bug (and two ammo salvage perks for shame)! And that changes the dynamic of what to look for and where to look for it. Perhaps it’ll change with the new update.
Come on guys - I need a respawning FNIX tank on its own with a good fire position. Ideas?
Thanks for that tip earlier just got the safe house this morning.
ANL 118 safehouse at -2380,-2550
Thank you, mate - I’m on it… :))
Went there - two tanks first time and a blizzard of Hunters, but nothing respawned for me - dead as the grave…
Next?
Hey man, @tene Nice video as usual. Not surprised the Ag5 made the #1 spot. I’m not using the Ag5 as of now, but I wanna give it a try.
What is your best tip for finding a lot of 5,56 mm ammo? Any particular type of machines you should hunt for?
Many thanks man! So the best method i found to get 5.56 is have the AG5 in one of your main slots and loot soldiers and fnix tanks, along side the bunkers in the north with some good old RNG and you should be able to keep yourself easily over 2k bullets all the time for the 5, of course always looting with salvage 2 unlocked.
Tbh though the bunkers can almost keep you stocked up on their own though if you’re lucky. The main three bunkers i always hit are Uttern Hermelinen and skvarden
ANL 118 tends to be hit or miss in my experience. It’s one of the few places I’ve found that you can find multiple FNIX tanks at the same time, but I’ve only seen that happen maybe 1/5 of the time I spawned there (though I’ve found FNIX harvesters there with some more regularity).
The problem, ultimately, is that most FNIX tanks roam over a wider area than most other enemies, and on top of that only some of the paths they roam get spawns any given time you load in to the game. Most of the places I’ve found them have similar spawn rates to ANL 118, with the notable exception of Torsberga (where I found one the first time I went there, but have never seen one since, though there is always a military tank there). Other places I’ve seen them include:
- The area between Beredskapsförråd 107 and Sundgård. Most consistent spawn location I’ve found (I seem to find an FNIX tank here maybe 1/3 of the time), and it’s reasonably good for safely fighting them.
- Northeastern Stenmyra. Second most consistent spawn location I’ve found. If you play smart, it’s usually pretty easy to fight safely, just make sure to clear out the surrounding area first (lots of FNIX enemies here, I rarely spawn at the church without having to fight my way through FNIX runners or hunters on the way out).
- Muskudden. Not too bad if you play smart and get lucky. Can sometimes find two here, but it’s rare.
- F23 Överby. Not very consistent, and seriously dangerous due to the wide open area with limited cover plus the other enemies.
- Garphammar. Somewhat tough because of the odd mix of hills and urban terrain (it’s tricky to find places you can safely shoot from). Often has other FNIX enemies too.
- Southwestern Östervik. Specifically the area around Kaptensvillan, Nyhamnen, and Balders Vall. Often found with other FNIX enemies of all types. It’s not unusual to find a FNIX harvester or FNIX tank within 100m of the safehouse at Kaptensvillan.
- The IGA Industrial Facility. One of the easier places I’ve found to fight tanks in general, but it’s usually got a couple of military tanks on top of whatever else is there.
- The field north-east of Järvhålan. Not very consistent, but if you can lure it to Järvhålan and play smart, it’s remarkably easy to fight.
Biggest thing you can do to help find 5.56 ammo is to carry an AG 5 while not carrying an AI-76 or AG 4. The game pays attention to what guns you have on you, and preferentially gives you ammo for those weapons (with some exceptions for specific enemy types, (for example, FNIX hunters only ever carry .50 BMG, .270, .44 Magnum, and shutgun shells), so by not carrying anything that needs 7.62 and carrying an AG 5, many of the drops that would be 7.62 will instead be 5.56 (including most of the ammo dropped from military hunters).
You’ll also find better luck the further north you go. Even using the above tactic, I rarely find any 5.56 in the archipelago, south coast, or farmlands. Drop rates are better on military bases too (not just bunkers, but places like Muskudden, F23 Överby, and Norrmyra).
Time for a new weapon list video! This time on shotguns
What’s your personal choice of shotgun in Generation Zero?
The Sjöqvist Semi-Auto is a great choice for anyone dealing with tanks and heavy enemies but you can’t deny the utility of the 12 gauge and how well it uses all three ammo variants coinciding with its attachments.
Thanks for watching!
I"m a fan of the Sjöqvist myself. Only complaint is the stupidity of it only reloading a single round on occasion when you empty the magazine all the way. I rarely need the accuracy of a scope when I use a shotgun, and the suppressor is just a waste (just like IRL for a 12-guage), so there’s not much benefit to me to using the regular pump-action.
same i love the semi-auto fire compared to the slow pump action
The pump will last first island only, Sjöqvist Semi-Auto all day.
When you have the Salvage perks, shotgun ammo will start dropping like crazy. Full stacks (or more) of Buckshot and Slugs can drop from one Hunter alone, and that’s where the Sjöqvist shines because it eats ammo much faster than the Pump-Action.
I’m glad we all can agree the sjöqvist is best shotgun It’s rate of fire and general ability to dish out ridiculous DPS just can’t be topped by the 12 gauges utility with scopes and the silencer. I do hope we’ll see a new shotgun thrown in the mix whenever we get new weapons, maybe give a decent alternative to the Sjöqvist.
You should try in with .50 AP rounds in it…wow.
I think they’ve kind of backed themselves into a corner here unless they tweak something about the Sjöqvist.
I mean, maybe they could throw in a Franchi SPAS-12 with it’s weird arm hook stabilizer and make it really accurate with low recoil but not as powerful and have that compete with the Sjöqvist, but that would probably be an anachronism in 1989 Sweden.
