Island ideas! (i know there will be no more updates)

if you were to update/change the island what it be,
i reckon the biggest islands should be half controlled by NATO and finix and the intro missions should be helping NATO setup bases to control the island kinda like base defense and there would be new weapons such’s as air strikes, AT4, bar mg, Garand, etc and the island lore would be that it used to be a mass Swedish military base and there would be daily missions so you would keep playing.
the island above it should be fully controlled by soviet machines and you would have to work with soviet troops to destroy/didactive the machines than say if you complete the mission the Swedish military from the mainland finally makes contact and gives good news (such as information on where survivors’ are etc) so than you save survivor’s from the machines than that’s all i could think of

You may imagine what you want, but I just remember you that development of GZ has ended and no changes will follow.

i know :frowning: i just wanted to see what other people ideas were, did you ever have any ideas?

It would be cool if they had like a boat building mechanic and made boat combat big (Maybe in a sequel?)

Many.
But less for the story, more for features.
Well, I knew what I didn’t want, like another active faction with machines (i.e. Nato).
On the other hand I could have imagined missions where NPCs of other factions could have taken part, maybe even with vehicles. But not as constant part of the open world.

My greatest ideas were about more structure for the game.

  1. Instead of getting all the DLC weapons/items directly to the plundra I would have loved to see a procedual mission which leads us to a wrecked ship, a crashed helicopter or plane or a parachute with dlc-supplies.

  2. Especially for newer players I would have loved changes in the story, that let the map evolve from the initial state to the current state by playing the story… So for example if you finished the original main story missions you can trigger an event that starts a cutscene (=landfall update trailer) which could end with “2 weeks later…” and then the landfall update revamps are there including soviet machines…
And that for every great update with a revamp of the world or a certain milestone in the story.

I’ve never thought of weapon intro missions thats a good idea

Thx.
It would feel so much more rewarding to play a side mission in which you could learn to play the newly bought DLC weapons or items and get them (and other stuff like ammo or ressources) as reward for finishing the mission.
Maybe each week with a daily change.

Other than for the base game weapons you cannot get DLC stuff by doing fmtel missions or the known weekly procedual missions, just by loot.

And I think it would be better to have to do something to get these weapons and items instead of having them immediatly in the plundra when you start the game for the first time.

But yeah, although my original topic about this idea is a few years old, the train already left the station… Forever.

Off-topic cleaned up, again. Anymore attempts at instigating drama will result in the banhammer coming down, with various magnitudes of force applied.

Had you search, you would have seen we had lots of ideas.

From terminator like machines that would come after us for a while and even inside safehouses.
To having in one of those islands a Nato base and a “frontline” where Fnix and Nato forces battle each other.
To having special arenas or little dungeons.
More and improved dynamic weather and more realistic nights.

I like how you flagged my post as being “promotional advertisement” after I finally responded to the dude I had 4 nasty notifications from. Gotta love the gz forum

I never flagged your post, somebody else did. But it was off-topic anyway.

Weird, maybe it does it automatically when people report it? No clue how it was advertisement

And vehicles… There were so many ideas for vehicles.
Or weapons.

In the end, if you read many ideas, you even see that a lot of them even were adapted and found somehow a way into the game. Maybe not as suggested, but in parts.

I still believe somehow that the firebird is partly built on the idea for a hunter-killer-like (Terminator movies) flying machine, which was brought up some time before the soviets were introduced. As initially suggested it flies around and searches the landscape with a spotlight for targets and hunts them down… And in fact indeed are hunter killers
