What about adding an info about which ressource structure can be build at which control point?
Text or an icon.

I’ll have a look at it. But I might need help to get the info for all control points, since I have only my claimed ones that I can check.

Thanks I have them all now.

I implemented the (D)rill, (F)urnace and (C)hemical lab, in the control points names on the map.
Example: Runby Park (C), Torsberga (D), Bergahöjden (F)

Check out the map, and see if you like it this way. :coffee:

For most solo players beacons that are destroyed do not respawn. However, I found that there are now seven beacon locations that do respawn after being destroyed, at least they do for me. I have marked all official beacon locations with a white on red icon on the map, but these seven beacons I colored blue on red. :coffee:

Sorry, maybe I missed something, but what beacons do you mean?

Relay beacons.
Of you get close to them, you get a sound and a “relay beacons nearby” notification. There are always machines. You get XP for destroying a relay beacon and you can get a field radio from them each time you destroy one.

They are part some missions and challenges, too.

In the past they all did respawn. At least for me. There was one update which stopped that for most of them, but I just remember 3 or so. But honestly I didn’t go everywhere again and again. I’ll take a look at your map.

Edit:
OK, so far there are three at forest region, where I just knew two, and 4 at marshlands, where I just knew three respawning ones. More than I thought. :+1:

Oh okay. Thank you for taking the time to answer!

On this picture you see three Relay Beacons, two of those are blue and respawn.

Okay, got it! Thank you!

Just out of curiosity, does destroying beacons affect the game? Have you noticed if the machines are affected in any way?

No, I don’t think so.
In the early days I thought destroying them would reduce the nearby machines.
But I don’t think that this matter in any way.

The beacons were a good source for XP. But there are so many machines now, that it doesn’t matter any more, too.

They were also a source for field radios. But as we can now craft them, it also doesn’t matter.

Last but not least I think there was a challenge for destroying a certain amount of beacons. But if you finished that one, it doesn’t matter.

For me, destroying the beacons felt like a blow to FNIX.

Story-wise the beacons were basically communication relays, that Fnix needed to be guarded by a number of machines. However destroying them did not affect the machines behavior. But not destroying the beacons meant you knew locations where you could fight machines.

Today when I was at the FNIX Outpost where Tatiana first took refuge, I had a better look at the boulders that were spread there. On the ingame map it showed me more structures/stones than there actually were. I counted 12 stones of various sizes. First i thought this could be another Axial stone circle with one stone in the middle, but a couple of stones on the east side then would’ve been out of place, so after some more thinking it looked more like a Fibonacci spiral, even though not all the stones did follow exactly the spiral line.

Anyway, I got rid of the stones that were on the ingame map, but not actually there, and this what I ended up with. I think it’s a cool ancient part of our European heritage, but it could also be coincidental placing of boulders. What do you think? :coffee:

I added it to the map regardless. :sunny:

@OGDH Thank you. It’s always nice to hear if the work is appreciated. I loved doing it though.
These boulders were added with the showdown update, that fact alone made me wonder about them a bit more. :coffee:

Hey buddy, I had downloaded your map a while back. I got an update of it not long ago. I just wanted you to know that I’m still loving that map! The time you took to make it and so detailed, very much appreciated!

I’m playing with my nephew and daughter and the map helps me plan each step!

Great job buddy!

Thanks @Vynym, It’s always nice to hear if someone likes the map. I am just finishing up Far Cry 6, and then I will be back roaming the Östertörn landscape again, until a new game adventure comes along.
