A good game can make the separation between reality and the gaming world blurry. I have so many experiences from GZ that I remember as if they were (almost) real. From setting camp at a shelter near the shore, staying in a church safehouse, to hiking through the forest on a sunny afternoon. One situation I remember in particular was this poor hunter stuck in a ditch. It was the first time that I felt something else that fear of the machines. I felt almost genuinly sorry for that poor thing. It happened by accident and could never have been programmed, so it just shows the power of the simulation engine, that it could capture me like that being both hilarious and sad at the very same time ![]()
