New Weapon Ideas

vz 61 was around since sixties and we already been dealing with contraband in sidequests, so why not for it being “smuggled”?

Special “rarity” class guns - salvaged and refitted for hooman use robot’s firearms. No mods, except for ammo.
Possibly craftable, gun “must” be 100% condition to have chance to be salvaged. May require exp.guns for salvaging purposes, since they seem to be “FNIX-compatible research toys” of the AI.
Examples:
“Skirmisher” - semi-auto shotgun salvaged from army hound, a bit slower than Sjorgen, but magazine reload. Intented role - assault hip-fire shotgun.
“Nailer” - Dog’s SMG. Low mag capacity (literally pistol clips?..), but extremely high reload speed (due to machine reload mechanism).
“Jackhammer” - FNIX Hunter heavy shotgun with sacrifice of pvg90 repurposed into heavy-caliber battle rifle. Better sights, bit better fire rate, bad long-range accuracy and velocity in comparison with standart pvg90.
“Stormer” - heavy, unwieldy machinegun (even worse than kvm89) ripped off army hunter that have virtually “bottomless” magazine capacity - feeds ammo (probably 7.62) directly from inventory (“internal auto-loading mechanism”). But in fact it’s total capacity - a few thousands, needs a metric ton of steel for ammo belt links, non reloadable, but can be “recycled-crafted”.
“Mortal Martyr’s Mortar” - mix of Grg. m49 and it’s ammo, army tank’s launcher belt feeding.
“Scorcher” - Apoc hunter’s flamethrower, rebuilt into melee range cutter. High DPS, short burst damage, multiplier internal parts, “incediary” status effect (like exp. G3). “reloads” with gas tanks.

So I know theres only one sniper rifle in the game but I really want to see new Snipers that have more common bullets. Also because I sometimes don’t just want to use the 50.cal all the time because its stupidly loud but thats how snipers are. Anyway please consider a new sniper that can have a Silencer attached for more stealthier options. Thank you

When it comes to s-rifles, there are 3x of them in the game: .243, .270 and .50 cal.
But technically, there is no s-rifles in the game since .243 and .270 are hunting rifles while .50 cal is anti-materiel rifle.

.243 and .270 are extremely popular hunting rounds on civilian market.
Also in-game rifles with these bullets are more “typical” bolt-action rifles and have excelent ballistics.
Damage per bullet is high, but in DPS department these are bottom feeders.
Oh and there is “hunting rifle silencer” item in game.

Or you want military sniper rifle item?

IMO we have enough sniper rifles. We could theoretically ad the psg90 because, if I’m not mistaken, it was being trialed at the time, but I fail to see the point. My guess is it’d have damage somewhere between the Meuser and Älgstudsare… just pointless. And adding an additional ammo type that’s bespoke for a single weapon is also quite pointless.

IMO, the best thing the devs can do right now is to add weapons that fire the currently less desirable ammo at a higher rate.

Speaking of s-rifles in the game, i forgot the 4th one: AG4 + 4-8x scope. It’s my go-to weapon with this configuration and i use it as part s-rifle and part a-rifle, with good accuracy, good damage and good fire rate. :grin:

I believe it’s time for a new handgun, the DE .50 (Desert Eagle .50) because we haven’t had a new handgun for the longest time, plus it’d be interesting to see the AG 5, KVM 89, AI-76 and so on as experimental weapons too, they need some love as well, but we’re honestly just due for a new handgun. (No idea if anyone likes this idea but we’ll see.)

God Please no more dessert eagles. Pop culture tries to cram it everywhere, even to WWII shooters.
I’m not against more variety for exp. guns or getting more calibers go experimental, but what would be their effects without repeating and be not too bizarre?
About “handguns” if you mean “sidearm slot”, i’d go for compact smg/machine pistol. Like vz.61.

It’s just an idea, also not a lot of games actually have that gun in it, but it’d be nice to see a stronger sidearm then the magnum.

I agree about the AG4 with a rifle scope although I run the 1x4 variant and once I get a 5* version I shall use it again.

what about a rail gun , could be fun
i would love a electric weapon that needs to be charged from car batterys too , that would be cool

@JimJammy Can I ask why you don’t even mention the .270 Älgstudsare? That rifle can take a silencer, as I’m sure you know, and can 1-shot Seekers and Runners with ease if your aim is good.
So what exactly would you like? A rifle as powerful as the PVG 90, but silenced? I guess you can silence that rifle, but the tech wasn’t really there yet in '89.

Personally I don’t like the two hunting rifle calibers they’ve chosen for this game, as they are not popular calibers in Scandinavia. I know why they used them though, it’s simply a copy-paste from the two basic rifles in their other game, TheHunter: COTW.

If you scroll back up to comment nr. 166, I have expressed my own ideas as to what the GZ hunting rifles, should have been. :wink:

hunter machines where not tech in '89 either , but yer why put a silencer on that bad boy pvg , it a robocop killer
