New Weapon Ideas

What I’d still really like to see is a magazine extension for the Älgstudsare and the Mauser

Agreed. While it may not be the prettiest solution, it should be possible.

It’s perfectly possible. Choices were more limited on the civilian market back in '89, but today many rifles are built to fit larger, custom magazines than the simple one that comes with the rifle. Most hunting rifles have a stock magazine that will fit 3-5 cartridges, depending on how they construct it.
Many hunters prefer a magazine that doesn’t poke out from under the stock, because it can get caught up in something and break or fall out.

the mag could be modified , even the gun to be made side by side

We already have a “railgun” type of weapon in game: PVG 90, aka .50 cal, especially it’s experimental version.

Here’s an idea- auto shotgun for the exp semi auto shotgun. Each exp gun has its unique abillity, so it wouldn’t make sense to slap the stagger abillity on the semi auto when the exp 12G has it.

L96A1 British Police Sniper rifle chambered in 338. magnum rounds its production started in 1982

I know what you mean but i was thinking of a sniper capable of using a 8 to 16x scope and i dont know if the hunting rifles can do that but I was thinking something that can have a similar range to the pvg (because back then i dont think they had 50.cal silencers) something that can match with the pvg however not in a 50.cal catergory

A bit of rant:

L96A1 a.k.a. “AI Practical Marksman” and been chambered in 7.62 only. There are very few surviving L96 AI PM pieces.
What you talk about (.338 lapua magnum) was project commisioned by Swedish Military to rebuild the rifle up to their specs and named “Arctic Warfare”, which at first was still same 7.62 (L118 a.k.a. A.I. A.W. and didn’t had mass produced for military, moslty bought by police/special forces), and shortly after upscaled to .338 Lapua Magnum (L115 a.k.a. A.W. (super) Magnum, which is most people should think of when talk about most widely known iteration of the rifle).

Back on topic: hunting rifles has excellent ballistics and high bullet velocity to act as sniper/marksman rifles. Bullet drop is minimal and noticeable at extreeme distances on x12 magnification (8-16 can’t be attached). They lack punch though.

MAC-10 and Uzi are nice, but only SMG I would ever use in this game would be good old Jatimatic.
Also considering it’s from my home country; Finland (I’m biased with this one), so there could be a bit better chance to find one in Swedish army for R&D purposes at that time period.

Edit: It’s also appears in Cobra and Red Dawn movies.

Interesting choice, but my bias is vz.61 Skorpion for .32 ACP SMG. It was a thing within sweddish criminals at that period.

.44 Magnum, the most powerful handgun in the world? The Swedish military would like a word with you Clint.

The Experimental .500 Magnus is the older brother you never knew you had, and wish you never found out about; dealing greatly increased damage to machine components and looking damn good while doing it, the only thing this bad boy CAN’T do is hold more than 5 rounds. Oh yeah and it’s single action only, gonna have to cycle that brass yourself, buster.

But a nasty bullet wound isn’t the only thing the .500 will leave you with, you can also count on it being very precisely placed right between your eyes thanks to the Smart Trajectory™ system it comes equipped with.

When players peer down the optical unit mounted on top of the weapon, they’ll be greeted by the soft, squishy spots of any machine within the scope’s cone of vision being highlighted in green by the targeting computer, lining the crosshair up with said squishy spot and clicking the left shoulder pad will change the component’s highlighted color to red, signifying that it’s been locked onto.

Provided that the component stays visible within the scope’s FOV, the targeting computer will shift the rifling inside the revolver’s barrel to curve the bullet’s trajectory towards the highlighted component, increasing hit probability by nearly 75%! After firing, the user will have to pull their greasy face away from the scope to chamber the next round before they can shoot again.

Beautiful, but wouldn’t this perk be kinda broken against literally everything? It literally has aimbot built in, and all of us would be VAC banned…

(I know VAC is not in the game, it’s just there cause I thought it’s funny)

The slow fire rate of the weapon, combined with the fact that you have to constantly keep your target within the FOV of the weapon’s sight balances it out.

  1. Double Barrel 10ga shotgun. Make the ammo harder to find to make up for its power.
  2. Bolt action .50cal Sniper Rifle.More powerful than the semi but longer to load/reload.
3.M134 minigun. For those who hoard assault rifle ammo. Extreme rate of fire but slows you down due to weight of gun.
  3. Any type of MGL (Multiple Grenade Launcher). With varying ammo types. high explosives, concussion grenades, incendiary grenades. Go wild with it.
  4. Oldschool repeating rifle. (Ect 30-30 winchester or 45-70 buffalo rifle)
6.Different styles of reflex and acog sights.
7.laser sight mounts. (Red, Green, Yellow) IMO i feel oike the game could really benefit from those.
  5. Under barrel attachments. (Exp- foregrips.to mountable bipods to helps steady aim, to m203 grenade launcher or M4 Masterkey.)
  6. Night vision goggles to help explore dark places and be useful at night.
10.Stun stick. (Hear me out) robots run off of eletrical componets so if you hit 1 with a stun stick. It would short circuit and give you enough time to escape and get ready for a counter attack. But you need batteries to operate it. Not useful in open environments but a handy back up in bunkers and cave systems. All of these I would like to see in the game but wont be heartbroken if they dont.

Hammer made of sled? Brutal!

A new craftable melee weapon. I’m thinking something like going to himjall (sorry I’m dyslexic) and making skies collectable then take the thrusters from a seeker and a uranium fuel cell from say a runner then the Hunter’s blade and maybe flamethrower combine alot of resources to craft either a uranium laced ski blade or fiery ski blade and you have melee weapon but to spice it up a side quest should be available at level 25-30 filled with alot of gunfights and skirmishes collecting all the parts and then download the Ski blade schematic from say the airfield research centre to make a normal ski blade and with that you combine all the stuff I mentioned earlier to make the fire or uranium one

As for damage and stuff I’d like the community to help with that as I don’t know stats and procs that well please if you’d like to suggest anything to this idea I’d happily appreciate it even if there’s something about it you don’t like please say it I’m open to all opinions. Thank you for your time

Here’s a pic of the last guy who dabbled with the machine fuel cells:

I don’t want to end up like that guy. :eyes:
