A workaround seems to be patient and then to hit esc a couple of times while on the black screen.
The game should load after that.
Note: This may allow you into the game, some have reported game performance tanking to dogshit and game crashing shortly after.
Attempts in lowering graphical presets to Medium(or lower) have increased performance for some, still induced crash. Your results may vary
