Hello so i am level 57 and i had my skill tree capped as everyone now with this update i had skill points retroactive so i unlocked many extras and have waaay way more skills . so my question is what happens now if i decide to rest my skills with uranium??? do i go back to only 31 skill points cause i have more than 31 now with the retroactive points ? im afraid to reset it i dont wanna lose all these extras and end up with only 30 or 31 at level 57 . Please advise thank you everyone
You should be given all skill points, but since you are a high level, there is zero reason to skill respec anymore.
Not no reason.
If he made a “wrong” descition for now, he May want to correct it… For example I never spend skills on such which give me more XP in my last builds.
Now it can be a thing again.
With that he could be able to get more levels and more skill points faster to fill all the other gaps.
so im at level 57 it was capped at 30 ish the levels and the tree i was credited with extras so i have LOTS but what happens exactly if i reset it i wont have JUST ONLY 30 again will I ill have all i have RIGHT NOW right ? im scared to reset it till i know for sure please advise
no im at the point where i gget one point after each level so ill be 58 soon ill get another point etc but if i reset i wont drop to ONLY THIRTY eh ??
You now can get all skills, so there is no need for resetting, or do you want to only play with the original number of skills? After the update, I got exactly enough skill points for free to unlock every skill, which I did.
i have 57 now if i reset i will still have 57 not 30 or 31 i spent 57 now so if i reset i should get back 57 correct
im basically refunding my points to try em elsewhere as i dont have all of it unlocked so i have 50plus right now ill get back 50 plus ?? correc t
I don’t know for sure.
You should get all points you spent.
You should also get skill points until lvl 87, as you should get enough for all skills available.
But I don’t know if there maybe is a bug.
Make a backup of your safegame and try it.
If it doesn’t work, restore your backup.
im on xbox i was hoping devs might help i might reach out to Carni but thank you too for the advice its appreciated thank you for taking the time
Oh that’s sad.
But in the end it doesn’t really matter.
Nobody can tell you if it will work for you or if there might occure a bug.
So, believe in the game or let it be and play on with how you set the skills now.
Btw Carni left the company.
I have done a skill reset (on PC/Steam) and you get ALL points back.
I’ll started to unlock some new Tech skills and a few Support with the saved extra skillspoints, all was fine so far.
Then after about a week I used most of them on rest of Support and Tech, already had most in the other two skill trees, but then the new skills I added started to behave strange. That was without double specialization skills, because I wonder what would happen when it still says only one at a time can be used under each skill tree. But I guess it dosen’t matter, it failed before that.
So I did a reset, placed about 40 point again on skills like I did first time passing the 30 points but it still behaves bad.
It’s just the new skills for my character added in Support and Tech that I’ve unlocked that don’t seem to work as intended.
Mmh I can’t say that they cause issues.
Works fine for me so far.
I’m in the same situation and I noticed that the selected specialization is reset every time I start the game. I always play as marksman and noticed that the aim was was unstable, I went to the skill tree and noticed that there was no specialization selected. I’ll play more times to see if it’s recurring.
You mean you too have all skills enabled? I never looked back at the skills menu. I will do that later and see what is what.
Yes, all skills are available but only one specialization can be activated. And it seems like it keeps getting disabled when I start a new game session.
Ok, that’s been before showdown update, too.
Just because, I had to try because it was exact amount of skillpoints left needed for max on all skills and both of the specialization on each skill tree. And it’s not blocked!
So either that got removed, or it’s a bug?
Of I’m not wrong you can place a skill point there to be able to activate a specialization, but just can activate one at a time.
I have one character at which I’m able to switch the specialization.
