The Final Showdown Update (12th dec) - rumours and discussion (wiki)

Btw.
A friend of mine found this a few years ago:

Do you recognize that? It’s 4 years old, and now we can see it in the newest character trailer.

Where is that in the ewest character trailer? Did I miss one? Or could you put a link?

Oh thank you, I didn’t see it the first time, can’t believe I missed that!

Confirmed! We have Apoc Seekers on the new island😁

I hope not just there.
Anything special about them?

Nope! I was expecting the radiation gas would do some danger if I got too close, but nothing happened. Kinda disappointing, but at least the cycle is complete😊

Here is Alias’s Showdown stream if anyone wants to see it.

On Himjfall as well.

Nice! Good to see they added them in more places.

I dont remember but im not sure.
I dont know if it was part of my imagination or if it was in some document or photo inside the game, so idk

I was really looking forward to the update. Then I started playing and noticed some very unfriendly changes. Who thought it would be a good idea to turn the grind up a few notches again?

To intensify the collection of resources once again and completely overturn parts of the game mechanics without warning?

Which one of you had the glorious idea to change the game mechanics so that a lot of ammunition has to be wasted every time for a little phosphorus and ethanol? Great idea - not! A great farewell with a very bitter feeling.

I guess we cant never have a good update, its always bugs and unfortunate changes

Ok, I can’t craft what I was able to before. Because I need a new ressource. And I have no idea where to get them, yet.

I just get ammo, that I have a weapon for in my inventory. Switching weapons layout now makes not much sense any more.

Before I gathered ammo for 9mm for example, but just used 7.62. When I ran out of ammo for 7.62, I switched to 9mm, because I hoarded the found ammo.

Now, I use 7.62… and if I run out of ammo, I have to carry the empty gun with me to be able to find new ammo for it.

Weird.

Refined tungsten, alluminium and uranium right?

So i thought we could get more uranium now.
Is it actually the other way?
We get uranium the same way it was and when it gets refined we get less quantity from the after process
Am i correct or wrong?

I think so, I’ve cooked aluminum but I haven’t cooked uranium yet, I have 3900 uranium to cook so I’ll test it with a full stack of 100 tonight and see how many I get. Yea, not a fan of this so far lol.

I thought they would give us an easier way to obtain Uranium, not the other way around ! -.-
I dont use experimental ammo because of how rare uranium is, just use uranium for weapons augmentations.

Same here I just craft radioactive rounds once in a while. I used to make shock ammo when it still worked lol, not sure if that’s fixed now or not

I just checked it out, and it turns out a lot of experimental ammo doesn’t require uranium anymore, some of them take the new uranium alloy, but most of them either take the new tungsten or the new aluminum alloys. Better than spending uranium anyway, but now I don’t know what I’m gonna do with my almost 4000 uranium lol

That does not fix the issue, because now we need 3 different resource types for the experimental ammo!
The only positive thing now is the fact that base defense now can be constantly activated
There are no cooldowns now i think.

Uranium now seems to be necessary for some augmentations and for the radioactive first aid kit
Dont know if its for something else.

Are some things more Heavy now or its my impression due to not playing since October ?
