Just one thing.
The 3 new structures only work “during base defense”, not only the furnace.
@zesiir Could you put the last comments of me and sgt saunders in the general discussion "The final showdown update 12th dec rumours etc ?
Seems a better place there.
Spoilers ahead for anyone that’s trying to find the tapes blindly.
One of the tapes is near Boo church. To the left of the front entrance near a yellow store is a truck. In the back of that truck is one of the tapes.
You can find a second tape in the top room of a red house in Salthamn, the house is next to a house with a destroyed robot in the yard.
A third tape can be found in the gift shop at Annagruvan.
A fourth tape can be found in Lilla in the house at 465.332, 691.870.
A fifth tape can be found in Markbacken on top of a store at 1021.332, 6.797.
A sixth tape can be found in Haga in a barn with a bar and stage in it near 973.776, 227.870.
A seventh tape can be found in Alby church near the church pew.
I have looked at every single location in my game and they have no collectibles left so I don’t know where the last two might be but they don’t seem to be mentioned on the map.
Well Hagaboda, and all other towns with many houses are all good candidates, as are all shops, all churches, all places that have a game-set / joystick controller as an asset. Like I said, it’s is not going to be easy. Basically the whole of Östertörn.
Agreed, the new update is not fun and is just a stressful chore to play. They ruined the crafting and doing the base assault missions is a chaotic resource wasting labor intensive bore.
Btw. There’s another change, now he XP you score after each fight is being added cumulatively. So when your first score is 100 XP, you see 100XP on the screen, but then when your next score is 300XP you see 400 XP, etc.
Well, I like the cumulative scoring, because now we can easier see if each following level needs more XP to level up than the previous one. It’s just something I am interested in. And I don’t get annoyed easy about game stuff.
My initial thought was to do a review on The Final Showdown update, but let’s be real here - from a game that was poisoned with micro-transactions, what did we really expect for free content.
In summary it’s nothing more than a glorified fetch quest just with different surroundings. And to be fair, I’m ok with that. For those that pickup the game in this state now will be a good laugh solo or co-op but never quite with the polish it deserved.
I still firmly believe it wasn’t the dev team that was the problem, though they of course play their part - but Systemic Reactions approach to dilute the focus on 2 now dead titles was a mistake, and cost the GZ playerbase long term to what in essence is the end of GZ.
The only hope left, is they allow for mod support on the PC side, which at least will make for some interesting content that despite my loathe of mods in game, feel this game could benefit from it.
If only they had released this version of the game, maybe time would have been kinder to Robot Sweden.
