The Final Showdown Update - rumours and discussion (wiki)

About the canals or straits. Is there a difference between the suffix …sund and …sundet? And if so what is the diffence?

There is no difference, only a grammatical question of how the name rolls most smoothly.
I think …sundet is more common than just …sund.
To complicate things, if it’s a very narrow place, it may be named …kanal (canal) but it’s technical a strait. And then there the exceptions we discussed before, people named things for various reasons in the past like a very fast flowing strait may be named …strömmen (the current). Or a deep straith can be named with …hål /…hålet (hole / the hole) or …djupet (the depth).

These examples in this post actually describe the water but what I know of it’s only …sund that later have given its name to a town or area and …sundet to a island.
Never thought about that before and guess there will be a place or two that contradicts what I just wrote.

Very nice and extended explanation. In the lore we find that the strait that separates Himfjäll from Östertörn is called Himfjällsundet. Another strait we have in the game is Stenmirasundet.

A new teaser has been released:

The radar control and disk are located at DLC island 4 (island 2 of the screepcap posted by Gysbert).

I copied the screencap posted by Don’tGetPlayed on Steam. He said:" Background landscape from original was removed and replaced with screencap taken from DLC island 4.

How did you get in? Did you just place a field radio over the crack?

Do we know his exact position and to which direction he looked?

The video is not mine, but there is a way to glitch the field radio to stick on you. Then you can go behind locked doors and down into holes with that glitch. To reproduce this glitch, you’ll need to be in a tight area, like between 2 cars/truck or 2 walls or in a small room. Drop a few field radios down and 1 of them will bug-out and stick on your body. You’ll become a walking field radio😂

Cool, but wouldn’t you just teleport to your original position?

An eternal loop!
… if we didn’t have the limit of 3 used teleports. :unamused:

That reminds me of portal

I guess the trick ist that the field radio sticks in a way that it can be “pushed” through a surface. And when you then do a fast travel, you land on the other side.

According to him it is not exact yet but it is very close but he will not attempt to find the exact location anymore. It was shot while looking directly somewhere around waypoint 1 or something.

In that case my theory would have been pretty close  [quote=“Madchaser, post:99, topic:48258”]

According to him shooting from another location/angle can produce more accurate result.

experimental moller? that sounds sick

we’ve been fighting for years but never realised that the actual war is underneath

The radio hangs about 2 or 3 feet in front of you, which allows you to teleport through doors. So your position is a little different with each jump.

Your location for the radar dish control room does have some merit. While I haven’t gone over there to see, I noticed while following the coastline a cliff area that could match a spot in that screenshot. And the mountains in look correct as well. I’m okay with this theory that the screenshot of the radar is looking towards the mainland and the rough location you have for it. That cliff area is right by the bunker icon south of Klinte.

I can confirm what gzbizz’s purposed for the location my initial theory has been debunked… this is now my belief as to where it is located at.

I color coded the locations. The first one is the official image with color marked areas. The second is an overlay of a screenshot from the area of when I purpose the official image is. There is a large rock structure that I was not able to climb, but might need to SSP up to the top to get a batter vantage point as I could only get one from the base of it.
