I’ve seen that many people say that the houses that spawn the tick-gnomes have locked doors. those that mean that if the doors on the house is open it’s not in there?
I had this happen to me yesterday. “Locked” is misleading, basically the doors are glitched and don’t have any prompts on them, but this isn’t always the case. Most of the time the doors are fine.
Also, when they’re “locked” it’s all the objects you can interact with that don’t work nearby. So you can shoot the junction boxes etc. on affected houses.
Sometimes, depending on the house you can get in through an upstairs door, or jump and put a radio on a balcony.
Ōstervik, in and around the Kyrkholden safe house, down to the safehouse just south of there.
So I can ignore houses with open doors?
No. They’re usually found in normal houses. But if you find a house with unresponsive doors you’re guaranteed to find one if you can get in.
Also, the unresponsive doors may be ajar, just with no “open” prompt.
ok thanks for the info
I’m having no luck getting these to spawn on ps4… going to keep trying though.
havn’t found them either
So much fun every time they spawn!
One of few that didn’t crash…
Is anyone finding these on solo? Or does it seem to be more on coop.
They’re also in solo from my 6 attempts hunting them down i succed at 2 of them .
That’s good news, cos I’ve been searching ostervik for a few days but no spawn yet.
Try the locked houses , for me both times they had gnomes in them .
Will do, thanks for the advice
They make an annoying screeching racket, no normal tick sounds. Not to mention red eyes and immediately attacking whoever is handy. (Made the mistake of activating one when health was too low, and got croaked!) Deploy-able gnome-ticks have green eyes.
You don’t need to hang around Ōstervik. Keep going away and coming back to prevent insanity.
From my searching I feel that the game needs to be in a relatively unstable state. Head somewhere where you can find a tonne of enemies, and then return to Ōstervik. The more units the game is tracking the more likely they seem to spawn (at least in my experience).
If you can create a ruckus in Ōstervik so much the better, but it can make farming the Gnomes tricky when they do appear.
wait… hold up. do they appear like normal gnomes and you have to destroy them to actually spawn the Tick version?
They look like normal collectable gnomes, that’s how they get you.
GOD F****** [redacted]
I saw one of those a long time ago and just wondered. Huh, weird, I can’t pick it up
Then I assumed it was glitched so I just went on my merry way.
It just dawned on me that I missed out on them because I’m a monumental idiot
