In addition to what’s been mentioned already (excessive gun reloading, looting absolutely everything), I’d like to add the travel gun.
I refuse to run around with my main gun (an LMG) as the active weapon. It obscures a large part of the screen, and it’s plain stupid from an in-universe perspective to run at max speed with a machine gun in your hands.
Thats where the travel gun comes in. For me, that’s the AT-WAD. It looks good, doesn’t take up much screen space, and it feels somewhat realistic as a gun you’d hold in your hands for the better part of the day.
Do I actually use it? Rarely. Maybe once in a while, to shoot a tick that hasn’t been alerted yet. Other than that, its only purpose is to be pretty, and make room for the real guns when it’s combat time xD
