Great topic! Still not bored by GZ, but I’ve always been interested in this kind of game.
Neither am I. But I need new content since I have done everything in GZ many times over. I am 200 hours away from reaching 4000 hours.
And I love to play other games as well, like the new game Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, but since they upped the price to 70 euro for the base game, and because there were some problems with it, I will wait a while.
Not that I can’t afford it, but I think 60 euro is more than enough for any game even though I’ll play this at least … say 100 hours, because I don’t like to rush through a game like I need to catch the last train. So, I bought Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy on sale last week instead. Not sure what to expect though…
I’ve been delving into 7 Days to Die as of late. Zombie survival, basebuilding, post-apocalypse stuff.
Add a few mods (or make your own) and you’ve got near infinite replayability. Add to that all the custom options and settings to really fine-tune your experience and it’s quite easy to get lost in.
The basebuilding in that game is superb, even if the game world is entirely built on voxels (meaning everything is made and/or limited by square shapes) which is pretty much like Minecraft, all that’s stopping you is your imagination… And the physics engine.
I tried 7 days to die for a while and really liked the base building and roaming around to find loot but sadly I could not get over how bad the gun/weapon-play was versus the spongy enemies
Waiting for new a new Gen-Zero update I have been replaying borderlands 1 & 2 and started to learn DCS, but damn that learning curve is something else
You can fine-tune the bullet-sponge enemies a bit make them more frail and slow, only a real threat in larger numbers. Though yeah, the gunplay is a bit lacking. They’ve added some additional skill perks to counter that and add to your stats.
Second Extinction released on Xbox in April '21. I think it’s still classed as an early access game tbh.
I haven’t played it for over a year, it was seriously buggy at launch, though forgivable as it was billed as an Game Preview / Early Access title.
I liked the way the character could climb / mantle over obstacles and the way the difficulty in certain regions changed over time. Both features I felt could have slotted in to GZ.
I loved Aliens: Fireteam Elite, but my team mate stopped playing and I just didn’t enjoy it solo as the AI wasn’t up to the harder difficulty. I’d go back if the AI has been tweaked. You could mod it on PC, but on console you were stuck with basic Alpha and Beta bots.
Yeah, ok, but not on Playstation
mostly just dead island 2 and fallout 4 and i got to say dead island 2 got one hell of a intro.
crossout and destiny 2 addiction is kicking in for me.mainly because theres too much stuff you can make.
i will only talk main gameplay:
crossout main gameplay:
build craft and destroy. in a wasteland you try to build cars pretty much anything you can build. the game has extreme grinding to have end items. to be exact people have few legendery items from only playing 3+ years, and theres also relics thats even better than legenderys so ya endless grinding it is.
there is a campaign. but mainly pvp is where you get resources to craft or sell. theres alot more stuff to talk about but those are just main things youre need to do, to improve youre car.
theres actually 2 ways to improve. first way is leveling up youre factions and farming resources.
the second way is by farming resources and then selling then on the market with other players. most players use market because they dont have to deal to level up.
fun fact!
you can easily meet players who have played more than 4 years! even when youre a new player, you just have to play few matches and then youre gonna start meeting them!
destiny 2 main gameplay:
The same thing you can do with crossout. but instead of wasteland stuff. you have chaos pve or competitive pvp. with tough grinding it takes 1+ years to have everything but theres dlcs where it give so much more content that you can play another year with new content! ( 5 dlcs there are )
the picture you see is an player holding an electric staff, that is a super ability that hes using. it makes youreself feel like youre absolute powerful mortal that you kill them fast in few seconds!
( super abilitys can last 8-15 seconds. cooldown is 8+ minutes normally but it can be improved for shorter colldown. some super abilitys are instant one big hit. )
pve is extreme havoc difficult causes. there are enemys can debuff you, snipe you, grenade you out of the cover with all kinds of other stuff. its an constant combat with making yourself a powerful character.
on the picture you can see people can be creative with theyre armor design. and another thing is that picture is an match name called -trial of osiris- its only open on weekends with inlcuding most sweatest players ever.
pvp is less chaotic but you can get scared more often. one reason is people can activate super abilitys againts you! doesnt feel scary when you feel powerless when theres just an enemy taking less damage from youre bullets? ( when player activate super ability they take 50% less damage )
and thats my fun games. i had fun writing it just because most people have not heard of destiny 2 or crossout and theyre free! the games i talked about is free!
I know Destiny 1, which was indeed free on Steam. So I tried the campaign for a while until I got stuck where I on my own could not get passed an area where the enemies were to strong. It was fun while it lasted.
You guys remember the F.E.A.R. games? I am now playing Trepang2 (bought in Steam Summer sale), which makes me think of those games. One level done, so far I like it.
It started strange, with you being handcuffed, so you can’t fight until you can free yourself.
It has slow motion and cloak.
Any of you doing this?
I also play
Grounded
Assassins creed Odyssey
Mechwarrior Online
Mechwarrior 5
Red Dead redemption singleplayer
Terminator Resistance
State of Decay 2
Days Gone.
Grounded I tried, but did not like it, so refunded.
Assassins creed Odyssey, Terminator Resistance and Days Gone done those.
Well the game is great, really. It does has a learning curve, but it has been improved a lot with the last update. Now it has a skill tree, more exploring possibilities, better hatred balancing etc.
When i get a new gaming laptop il get Trepang 2 @Gysbert .
@PocketYoda Terminator Resistance is a lot of fun (altough it had an horrible bug back in 2020, had to start the game from scratch due to save corruption).
Their upcoming game, Robocop Rogue city is probably going to be cool too
Usually i dont talk here but today i have the disposition for that.
Currently the ones i play more when i can are:
- Ive been lately playing a LOT of STALKER Shadow of Chernobyl oblivion lost
- Gran Turismo 7
- Generation Zero
- Sometimes Resident Evil 4 Original and the Remake and soon Revelations ( fits being Summer and deep sea fear)
- In the last year i finished or played many different titles that were leaving PS extra/Premium service but Defense Grid 2 ,Air Conflict Pacific Carriers and Ghost of a Tale were really fun and different
- Soon Stray and Marvel Avengers that will leave the Service.
I like playing Company of Heros. I have had it for many years, years before Steam was around. But Steam only shows I have played it less than a few hundred hours. I have thousands of hours in the game, steam only tracks the hours I have it on steam.
I never got into COH2 and now COH3 is now out and WAY over priced.
TitanFall2,Snipers…u.a.Elit.5 u.GhostWarriors,Wolfensteins,Halos,RedFactions,Kholat u.ä.,WBS,Metro…ala…in the past u.Chernobyl,Chaser,Gobblyns,Mortyr1+2…uswusf…here
Leave the service? What does that mean?
Like a service, Netflix/ Xbox Gamepass
You have 3 tiers of PS plus, the normal 3 games per month, the EXTRA lots of titles and the Premium with even more titles, stream games (which kind suck) and even timed game trials of full games.
Each month a few games “leave” the service and new ones “enter” the service, I believe its the same with Xbox Gamepass.
If you want more info check the PSN official site, but youre probably good just with Steam and others (GOG, Epic Idk…)
My favourite games:
- more games from X-series (Egosoft)
- Generation Zero
- Kingdom come
- UFO: Aftermath
- Subnautica
