Description: due to the inventory system change with the skyfire update, I believe I have soft-locked my runner companion into my inventory storage chest. before the update, my companion was in my storage chest, now after the update, I cannot retrieve my companion. my friend tested it and he cant even put his companion in his storage chest. I think I soft-locked myself unintentionally. For the record, I was playing this morning before the update around 3am eastern standard time (us and canada), its currently 9:30pm EST.

I posted the same thing. Happened to me when I switched characters. Everything somehow dumped into the Plundra and the dog is now in a permanent kennel…
same here, but my inventory was already empty, was doing some loot management after playing. and now i cant retrieve my dog. my buddy tested it and he cant store his in the plundura, it just comes up with a red circle with a line through it like when you dont have enough quantity to recycle something.
better yet! you Cannot get it out of your plundura now. mine was in there before hand because I was doing some inventory management but now its softlocked and I cant remove it.

I encountered same issue. Jointed my friends’s game and when I was managing bullets and itemas, I pushed some button (X on game pad maybe), all my items/wepaons went to storage box. Including comapnion, equipped guns (Before update, at least equipped items would stay in my inventory?), then I can’t take my companion out of stroage…

Can’t you pin an info on the forum and social Media that players, who stored their companion in the plundra, currently aren’t able to move it out of there?
An additional info that the team is working on that would be nice to, of course
PS 5 console. My companion appears in my stash box but I can’t move it to my inventory so can’t equip it? I have tried numerous things as per forums and internet searches to no avail, please advise how I can move move my companion from my storage box to my inventory or can any dev contact me please. I also cannot draw out my companion from storage. I’m PC, runnign through Steam, used the usual tactic of deposit all and just grab what I need, and I can’t grab my 0% health companion for some reason. If I keep trying, the game will crash. I did send a crash report in yesterday. I was solo singleplayer, just lowered the difficulty from Guerilla to Scavenger (or whatever the default diff is). Nobody else was in my game or trying to join. I’l try to remember to post my specs later.
Description: Move the mechanical beast buddy to the storage, after that it can’t be taken out.
Steps to Reproduce: Unknown…During the storage operation, I unintentionally pressed the □ button (save all by category) on the PS controller (so called “mispochi”), after that I was able to retrieve the necessary items, but only the sidekick mechanical beast was not retrieved.
I don’t think that there is much of a bug, but the players who are affected need a fix. It’s more like a design error in my eyes. Like the situation was before, but vice versa.
You shouldn’t have been able to store it there because it could have caused issues by itself. The companion is character related, the plundra is shared between the characters.
Putting the companion into the storage and picking it up with an other character could have caused loosing the companion forever on the first character.
I guess, to prevent this, they now disabled the ability without thinking of those who already have it stored.
