Interesting locations

I came across in the last days gone bye, that the Rune stones are relatet to the Nibelungensaga that is connected with the Völsungensaga in Sweden. There where the Sigurdstones. Sigurd is related to the German Siegfried. In Sweden, there where seven Stones. Called the SIgurdstones. And one of them raised my attention. It was the Stone of Ockelbo that looks very similar to the stones in the game.
This is something what i like very much in the game. To visit such places.

You mean in the game world? I only found two so far, with the snakes on them I mean. Or did you mean in the real world? The ones in the game closely resemble the Runestone at the Swedish castle Gripsholm The ones in the Game don’t have such long curly tail.

Anybody ever tried translating the quote on the snake stone?

I found two Runestones in the Game. One on Södra Saltholmen when you go from Saltham to Saltomen close to the Busstop. And one on Hjimfäll underneath the Klacksundsfryan Lighthouse.

And this is a collection of Runestones

Not sure if this is something or just a trick of the mind, but those look like letters on that rock wall.

it could be a trick of mind or the game of sight angle and the light. But some of the structures are looking like runes

I made a try to translate/interpret what the Dev:s have carved on the stone

I would recommend these sites to learn about runes and carving:
Kalle the runecarver, master of runestone carving
https://www.runristare.se/

https://www.vikingrune.com/

I tried as best as I could :slightly_smiling_face:

Speaking of the runes, in the game, there is one side mission where NPC (Viviane) tried to decipher the runes on the large stone at Gudlög stone ship (Gudlögs stenar), on the East of Himfjäll.

Her results are here:

I feel that she gave a longer interpretation than was necessary

Can post the completion here also, just to be safe

I still don’t know what “smmasmmaa” means.

No, I double checked. I wonder which Dev. allowed Nostradamus create the stones? :face_with_raised_eyebrow:
All the stones have the same carvings.

Here are the runes:

I wonder why the S-runes are mirrored on the stone. But the other runes are not.

IMO the “S” marks the end and beginning of a word.

In Mountain region there are two instances of Beredskapsförråd 104 (see pic which I edited to show both labels). Now I came across a mentioning of a location called Bergrum “Havsörnen”, which I never found on the map. The top 104 bunker is just one big room, like Bergrum “Myskoxen” and other Bergrums are also one room. So I am thinking this 2nd 104 bunker could be Bergrum “Havsörnen”. Anybody Ideas about this?
