Map of the GZ world with labelling

Strange that you get blurry view. Can you clear cache?
The new file is 57 mb maybe that’s too big for your phone.
On desktop it works perfect.

Maybe it’s due to the size of the file…

Edit: yes, it is. After long time waiting the details will come. But every single zoom-step will load the whole map again.

I have said it before but will say it again. Such a fantastic resource. Love it. Thanks for making the time and effort to produce this.

I know if often include locations of things on the map that are really not important to know, but I do this as a sort of archiving to see if something changes. And I also think it makes the map better.

The latest unnecessary object I included was “Telephone Booths”. So far I found 29. Doing so I noticed some peculiar lack of placings; Hagaboda a big city has none, on Himfjäll I found one, and Booths standing on a main road also one. Now I’m sure I will find a few more, but not much more. :sunglasses:

Took another run at the Haunted Barn today. No stims…only a boombox and 3 flares.

So they do not respawn, as expected. Cool.
The stims were a floor up.

With the working map getting MB-heavier with all the layers, my 16 GB memory seems no longer be enough when I also running the game for map-reference. PSP takes needs more time to handle each change I make. :snail:

I have two memory slots empty in my PC, so I have ordered 16 GB - Corsair Vengeance LPX DDR4 extra. Not sure if that will be enough to make a huge difference, but it will at least be a bit faster I suppose. :rocket:

Anyone recognises where this is?

Thx Gysbert!

Is it possible to add a marker on each safehouse which stations are there?

Small yellow letters in a small black box next to the safehouse icon would be enough, I guess.

R=recycling station
P=plundra
F=FMTEL
A=apparel crafting station
C=consumeable crafting station
V=vehicle station

Do you need to know it for every safe house. I just know a few that have all. Only if you do not fast travel would it handy to know, otherwise you just travel to one of those safehouse that have all. I have all at my tyloveden home base.

There 101 safe houses. Do you know what each safehouse has?

I am now back to work outside, but I will think about it.

I don’t even have all safehouses…
They all got lost from one day to another (multiple times!). Just the mission related ones (bunkers i. e.) are still there.

It’s not a “need to know”. It would just be a nice additional info to safe time. Of course you could just fast travel to the home base where you propably have all stations.

But there are players who don’t have the homebase yet. Or players don’t want to fast travel. Or they are overloaded and don’t want to drop something, because they farmed a ressource they need and then need a recycling station.

There are also places with a vehicle station or a apparel crafting station but nothing more (no safehouse), or even a safehouse without a plundra (not 100% sure anymore).

I myself try not to use fast travel because it makes the game better if I don’t and I am trying to get half a million km traveled. Call me crazy. :crazy_face: I will certainly consider it, at least to get a reasonable spreading on the map.

The map is getting more and more fuller. So that’s another thing to consider; what to put on and what not.

Maybe for future versions of the map you could work with some small icons and an explaining legend instead of some often repeating textes. That could safe much space. :wink:

What’s the deal with “Monster Island”?

It’s an island to the East that doesn’t appear on the map. I don’t know why it’s called Monster Island, but it’s apparently where the developers do testing and stuff.

This footage might be from Monster Island:
