Good idea to add the rear dock. New version uploaded.

@Heinskitz and others, after I added your âRear Dockâ suggestion, I wondered if there might be more locations or special scenes, that I havenât added to the map yet. Just let me know.
You could add the locations where the machines like to hang out and wait for us to destroy them. Along with most common machine type and class to expect.
So called farming grounds
I know a few, but ⌠It would be nice if you could provide a list of coordinates with a description. Then I could add them easily. Like in Beatles song; with a little help from my friends.
I had patrol locations for just machines types (firebird, tanks etc.), but those locations are changing sometimes and became confusing so I got rid of most of them.
Can you provide some locations (coords) and descriptions that you consider farming grounds?
Oh I didnât play GZ since the day of the latest update on playstation⌠So probably my experience isnât the best for that.
At least there is east of Lilla hammarnäs, south of boo church and boo bruk ab, the airfield, north of Ringfort and west of arkelstorp, south of granlugnet, north of rusksele and west of angeras church, which were my favourite places.
I made the statement more as a joke thinking most would think it would be cheating for novice players. But I am off tomorrow, if I have time to play, I can post a few spots.
One spot for quick action would be east of St Anna Church in the north coast region. Always a tank or two, with wolves, lynx and runners in the mix. Stay in the area long enough you will be greeted by two green wolves coming from the north, another yellow/tan wolf coming in from the windmill area east of the church.
In the past, before the last update and the old way of spawning reapers, if a reaper would spawn. It would more than likely appear halfway between St Anna Church and the north coast light house. With tons of machines along the way. And what seems to be an endless supply of firebirds coming in too. This is after waiting for the region to reset completely.
But since the update, there has been not much of a reason to hunt in that area, since the north coast does not have control points, no tyrants.
I like a good joke.
Madchaser and Juan and others, anything you can provide that you feel is a good place to add is fine.
There are hot spots in most of the regions that you can fast travel to and get into a fight quickly. But listing them in the past, players started to whine that they were âbugged and glitchesâ with to many machines to destroy quickly, the Dev then take the machines away, look at ANL 118 for example. I have old screen shots of the area having tons of harvesters, tanks and hunters in large masses just outside the hanger doors, now you have to head east or west to find any action. And that is only if you know where to find the groups of machines in the area.
If you could work with layers, that can be activated/deactivated, that would be greatâŚ
I do work with layers. But I always merge my output file to a single one, to get the smallest file size for sharing.
I wonder how you think that switching could work, because you need the original program, I guess.
But letâs first see how it works out when I just add hotspots (in a layer of course) and merge to output file for sharing. I remember that you once had a problem loading the file on your phone because it was too big.
With everything I add the file gets bigger. Can you still view the file on your phone direct from Google drive? Because itâs no longer ~16 Mb. I canât on my phone. So I downloaded the map to the phone, and that works great.
Here an example of how I would do hotspots. It would just be a highlighted circle of the area concerned.
I just picked a color and made it 50% transparent. Still thinking what color would be best so that itâs not too distracting or too loud.
I know.
I donât know what possibilities are there.
It was just an Idea, not just for these hotspots, but in general, to be able activate/deactivate certain layers.
Yeah, there was such an issue.
Yes, I can.
Since it is a hot spot for machines, use the same color as the class of machines to expect in the hotspots.
BTW, looks like you already knew of the area around the church.
Thatâs not as easy at every place I guess, because of the transparency of the layer.
In general I would agree, but letâs define the colors here. FNIX Military and soviet Scout(?) would be both green otherwise.
Dang it Gysbert!! Why you gotta be so awesome?!!
Actually, thank you buddy! Great work!
I think I have seen all hotspots, but I havenât listed them. Also I do not know what you consider hotspots. Thatâs why I ask a little help of the community by listing them.
I see difficulty for color matching the classes in the area. Wouldnât hotspots have different classes at the same hotspot?
Maybe you could create an icon similar to the FNIX bases icon.
The color could represent if there may be machines of FNIX, soviets or both.
And there could be another indicator (the form of the shape) for the (mostly) expected classes at that location.
Like a triangle for Prototype/Scout,
A square for Military/soldier and
A pentagon for FNIX/apoc/speznaz
Edit: (The more edges, the higher the expected class)
And a circle for everything randomly
I try to make some examples later.
A special iconâŚmaybe.
But I think I (we) first need to concentrate on gathering hotspot locations and the machines we find there.
