I believe they are aware that the infinite tick spawning isnt fixed and are working on a fix to it, hopefully it does get fixed this time. For now, get rid off FNIX Bases if you can and you should be able to prevent it from happening since they are tied to about 7-10 FNIX bases being active.
Seeing a lot facing “infinite ticks” issues, but I can’t say I’ve noticed that yet.
What I have noticed however, are infinite lynxes and runners.
Certain CPs have runner spawners, which was fine, didn’t think much of it while dealing with hunters/turrets from a nearby watchtower…
Suddenly there were a good few dozen runners at the base of the tower and around the CP walls. And by a few dozen I mean literally well above 40-50 runners in the span of ~10 minutes.
That being said, I’ve also been chased by around 2-3 dozen lynxes, all spawned from two wolves.
Also, am I the only one facing an issue where the equipment wheel will randomly activate while zooming a scope? Haven’t seen any posts here regarding any of my mentioned observations, so was wondering if I was the only one noticing this.
(Infinite CP spawn has been mentioned, but didn’t realize it would literally infinitely continually spawn runners/hunters)
Are you playing with gamepad?
Maybe your trigger is too sensitive?
I have controllers (primarily for Rocket League), and one was attached when this happened once, but I disconnected it with no luck. But to answer you, I’m playing GZ with KBM.
Also had my character stuck in a continuous “run-walk-run-walk” loop, leaving my character unable to crouch/crawl, so I’m thinking there’s an “interrupted input” glitch being introduced by the latest update(s)
PC?
Steam or xbox gamepass version?
Did you try to reassign the keys/buttons in the settings?
Steam, yeah.
And nope, haven’t done that, why? Is there a conflict in the default bindings?
There was a change for key bindings in the update regarding movement. Maybe it could help. It’s just a guess.
I had a quick peek at the bindings just now, and couldn’t find any conflicts, so I don’t think this is the cause.
Also, it happening sporadically reinforces my theory of this being a bug instead of a conflict.
The real issue with this is that it’s persistent; when it first happens once, it’s gonna keep happening extremely frequently until a reboot of the PC (closing the game doesn’t help, and confirmed it’s not a keyboard issue as typing during the issue doesn’t show similar symptoms. This was my thought at first, since the run-walk-run loop indicates the SHIFT key being spammed, but again, typing doesn’t produce any random capitalized letters)
I guess it doesn’t matter if you play alone/as host or as guest?
Otherwise, for being guest, could it be an input lag?
I only play solo/as host as me and my partner plays together on my save, but I believe this shouldn’t be a factor.
As for input lag, I doubt this. I never use the equipment wheel since I find pressing 1-8 to be quicker. As for the run-walk-run loop, if it was input lag, it’d stop eventually once the input queue was complete. Then again, all my inputs are responsive without any delay
When aiming with scope to close to an object, downed machine, building, car or whatever, the aim with scope function seems at a lose. It drops down and can’t aim with scope, you are forced away from object, you can see what you are aiming at but rounds hit the object you are standing to close to and sometimes the wheel pops up. Real pain.
EDIT: but it is minor to other game stopping things like crashes.
Good point, but this also happens when aiming into the distance with no obstacle close enough to take me out of scoping
Might be a bug with the function that takes you out of scoping if too close to an obstacle then
I’ve got no more idea.
I never experienced this on PS5.
On Facebook I saw Someone posting about an error message he got when GZ crashed.
He said looked up the error and found the following site.
I just pass it along…
I started the game from the beginning with a new save file.
So far everything is running without problems.
I captured and destroyed the first FNIX Base as a quest of the game.
I currently have 6 neutral points and my own base. The base is where the first FNIX base is to be destroyed.
After that, the first level 2 FNIX base spawned. I destroyed these immediately.
I’m the only one who can’t convert another neutral point into my own base. Why isn’t that possible?
Before I had to destroy one of the FNIX bases before I could build my own base. This no longer works. Otherwise there have been no problems with the new save file and the upgrade so far…
Ever since Base Assault released back in April, youve always had to destroy 2 FNIX bases no matter their level to get 20 command tokens to take over a control point. This is not including the side mission ‘Good News’ where you still get a free control point to take over as it gives you 20 tokens and not 10.
…thx…for information
Just saying I haven’t noticed any Infinite Tick Problems. Steam PC here.
OK I was in the Saltholmen Naval Bunker last night looking for Poison Gas Canisters, and I noted that
(a) The “Gas Room” no longer has Gas filing it.
(b) The Poison Gas canisters no longer spawn in the room.
Now this could be classed as a minor issue, but Poison Gas Canisters are one of the few reliable ways of getting Electrolyte in the Game at the moment. And it is strange that the Gas Room was effectively removed without it being in the Patch notes. So I feel it is an error that should be simple to fix.
I have no idea if the gas room would be there for a new player and then stops existing after the Saltholmen Naval Bunker mission completes.
Again, Steam PC Version.
Sorry, but I have to ask after a good 2 weeks of mere silence… Any news on a date for a new fix/hotfix for the Tick-spawning-problem and/or the problems that arise from having too many FNIX control points and not being able to get rid of them any more ?
