You can drop items and have another character pick them up. Just make sure you have your new character ready before you drop it from your main.

I tried with 2nd and 3rd characters to see if that makes any difference but had no luck.
If i dont have any work around or fix from GZ team, to start a new game we need to delete all the charecters.
Sadly @Venu_Uchiha its gonna be either misson pregression tracking, or something that has tied it up on Update June or July then. I have had no issues with any main, or side quests - mainly because i played the whole thing offline from scratch.
Lets prey, that Tuesday finally solves the problem.

did I messed up something with this mission? Everything inside is destroyed 
as I understand it was reported and acknowledged by the dev team, however it doesn’t seem to be fixed for me

Hi there. I think I have the same problem in my game. It’s because I finished “Behind the Curtain” after “Science of Deduction” mission. 
Some SPOILER for both missions below, explaining what’s wrong:

Both mission use the bunker door and in science of destruction the door is locked and impossible to open. In behind the curtain you are able to open this bunker door and, when you finish it and blown up the whole complex, the door will be unlocked and you never be able to finish Science of Deduction…
I didn’t see this issue in the bug report list, Maybe because most of the people finish Science… before Behind the Curtain, but I believe it should be in the list as well. What do you think?

Problem solved! The mission was redesigned. Perfect!

Got the same problem! The doors Just opens, and the inside is caved in! Already did the behind the curtain mision! So cant progress in the science of deduction mission, since the door Just opens, and i do net get the message to go loock for clues!
The mission goes perfect, it is possible to win the mission
Not fore me… The doors opens! And the inside is colapsed! And since the doors open, the mission does not progress! And the marker is inside the doors, not on the outside! Found a picture of how it looks! I play on a ps4 pro

You are right! It should be closed and you are not supoused to be able to open it right away! When you get to the door, the objective should change, so you can find the rest of the clues to open the door! I got exactly the same problem! The door opens, and the waypoint is inside of the doors… I am also on ps4 pro.
Joined a online game and did the first part whit the door. And went back to my local game, then i was able to collect the items i needed to complete the quest! But… After i did that, the mission empty spaces are supoused to unlock, but it did not! Did not get the mission after i completed science of deduction! This is starting to enoy me now…

Sorry to hear that you are having issues with this mission.
Although your issue is somewhat similar to the issue originally described in this thread, it is different enough so that it should have it’s own thread.
Would you mind writing a new bug report and in there describe your issue in as much detail as possible, adding your screenshots, etc?
In the meantime I will investigate what @limaalphaalpha and you described in the spoiler section of their comment Unable to complete Main mission Science of Deduction

Checked car, car is blown up and on fire, I see white papers on the dash but cannot pick them up, no keys on seat. Quest hint takes me to a bunker but cannot enter as the tunnel has collapsed.
Quest instructions are misleading, “locate and enter the FOA 5 underground facilities” but when I look online the quest ends with picking up keys from the car.
??? very confusing, very poor story design concerning this objective.
Love the game over all though.

I have this problem too, i finished the game with my boyfriend, we did missions on both accounts together, all of them, somehow not all missions were done on my account. So we did them again coming to this mission Science of Deduction. And I encounter the problem described as the first post.
and I cant complete it and cant finish the game properly on my account and not get the Trophy for it.
I DO not want to delete my game or character and lose all my stuff.
Since this problem is here since August 2019 I wanna know what the fix is. Because 9 months later there should be one RIGHT?
Same issue here. For me and my buddy. We finished in multiplayer with a different host. We tried to replay, the bunker door opens. We can even enter the bunker and head to Behind the Curtain objectives but anything from Science o D wont trigger. Neither the documents nor the documents in the car for finishing the mission.
We tried to reset the mission in someones game, heading to Hermelin but its not on the warboard even the other host did not finish it.
Solution (as mentioned in the forum):
I managed to reset the mission triggering the bunker door in a session with a host that did not start the mission yet but had the Hermelin Warboard triggered. Mission pointer resettet and asked to find the documents. Then leaving the session and back to solo and finished it there.
FAO/Science of Deduction
I have had the mission for some time now and im on objective two (Locate and enter the FAO 5 underground facilities). Every time I enter the door the only thing inside is ruins. I dont know what to do.
