I think that you should be able to have a device that disables the machines and you could have a menu where if you are nearby a bot and it is perma disabled you can re program it so it fights for you but they keep damage you inflicted and you could have to have rarer materials for better machines like tanks and harvesters oh and you could re program a harvester to like roam and get loot in a location and the further up the map the more loot but the more danger of it being wrecked and it could farm ammo and meds and stuff i think it would be cool because you won’t die every 5 min as u would have a ‘teammate’ to help you fight u think a lot of players would really like that but you could have a setting to turn it on and of in your world for a more immersive experience please consider this it’d be super cool

I think that we as loneley people should be able to cate a new crafting station and be able to merge weapons to create better ones but the higher tier the more weapons needed and a armour table and you can get different armour components from different bots and they give you extra health for different tiers armour and you should be able to upgrade your weapon with parts to do more damage and fire rate and things like that

oooOOOOooohhh … I’d like that! That would be good compensation for the Hacker-skill that is sort of like “meh”

Unless we’re talking energy swords like star wars or warhammer 40k, I don’t really see what good hitting a big metal robot with a sword or stick will do. Other than make it angry :stuck_out_tongue:

Maybe the stick could be used to annoy players in your group that takes too long while looting?

do you mean lightsabers (have you even seen Star Wars?)

Yes, even the bad ones. I didn’t mean specific lightsabers with kyber crystals and all that jazz, and also referred to 40k, I obviously meant the concept of a sword with an energy blade instead of a sharp edge.

Besides, GZ couldnt call it lightsabers anyway because of possible trademark strikes from disney.
Also this is silly hair splittery :stuck_out_tongue:

The list of options I would like to see added to the game are mainly settings options for console (xbox/playstation) . I want to see an option to enable/disable the motion blur in game, an option to enable/disable the aim assist in game as for console I feel like it is a feature that should be toggle-able in the settings. A dead-zone system implementation would be nice to allow more control diversity to players. The ability to have a custom control/button scheme for controllers on console would be a nice addition. One in-game feature I think needs to be added is the ability to reset your skill points if you would like to change the skills you have invested points into already as if you accidentally place a skill point into the wrong skill then you can’t change it after or later when you no longer want it. If it’s added then make it to where it resets all points. For my last request I would like to ask for the option to completely take off your character’s jacket.

Just throwing this out there:

Generation Zero is hands down one of THE best games I’ve played since I first began playing Ark (like 4?) years ago.

The general atmosphere and concept of the game is phenomenally done and quite entertaining for the current state of the game (on Xbox).

There are a few things here and there that become rather tedious (i.e. having to move to weird angles to open/close doors and pick up items, ect.), but nothing that seriously impacts gameplay or the overall enjoyment of the game.

As for some suggestions, I’m almost 100% certain that any ideas I have for the game have been mentioned previously by other players, but I’d like to reinforce my interest and support in some of them.

The first, being vehicles. Now, I’m not talking anything major, but maybe there could be mission lines put in place to keep certain vehicles, like certain cars, ect., locked until their completion. Can’t lie, the though of making a sort of mech would be epic considering the tech incorporated for the bots. I’ve seen in another post that it would require dedicated servers of the sort, however, they could just make the vehicles like the bicycles where you can use whatever is spawned by the host (such as the cycle recolors) however upon returning to your save you would have to unlock the vehicles yourself.

Another suggestion would be building. Base building, village building, and village population. Considering the introduction of other human npcs in the Alpine Unrest DLC, I think it would be entirely viable to release a paid DLC allowing for players to create, populate, and arm their own personal settlements. This of course would have to be something that would behave similarly to the vehicles no doubt, where if you joined another person’s game, you’d only be able to see what they’ve created. Perhaps you could help them build it up, but upon returning to your save, you would have to build whatever it may be you desire for yourself.

The above suggestions leads into this one; waging a war to retake the lands from the bots. Having to arm your settlement and NPCs and repel waves of assaults from the robots would make for some interesting battles as well as trying to lay claim to certain regions of the map. Maybe the regions you claim would have less spawns, perhaps forcing the robots to spawn in multitudes more outside your region? The possibilities could be potentially endless.

Lastly, one that I think most people wouldn’t think twice about: hunger, thirst, and farming.

Some would argue that the inclusion of hunger and thirst may disrupt the balance of the game, but if done correctly I think it would just as immersive as the game was intended.

I’m not saying that in order to sprint you have to eat five steaks or something, but rather make it more realistic. You get hungry/thirsty over time throughout the day, maybe say balance it out to where you only had to eat a few times per in game day? And considering how often I find canned foods and such laying around the map, I could imagine that it would be relatively easy to find food and drink to sate your hunger or thirst.

I’m not saying it should be something you have to upkeep every 5 minutes, but rather over the hours of gameplay, more as an immersive experience. Maybe even make it a optional feature in the games settings.

I couldn’t think of a better addition to this game other than having to survive the elements and bodily needs all while trying to survive the robot-aclypse. Considering that surviving the robots (or just stealthily avoiding them) is already easy enough as it is.

Oh, and on a final note, inclusion of foods, drinks, farming, and cooking, it would also be another way to include more options for healing if one so wishes instead of relying on RNG to hopefully find enough med kids.

Anyways, that’s my ideas at the least. I could go more in depth if anyone wanted, however I figured just a loosely based summary of my ideas should do to get the point across.

While I’m interested in the feedback from the rest of the community, if you’re going to nitpick at my post, please find elsewhere to insult my ideas as I’ve run into this issue on many a forums. I’m only here to brainstorm and share feedback, so no nasty comments, please!

EDIT: To note, the vehicles idea could be included in a DLC much like the building pitch I threw. Just to clarify.

So I’ve played in excess of 70 hours and really love this game. There are however a few things I think would make the game more enjoyable.

Simplified inventory
It’s always an issue if you have to enter a menu to access the item you want. And because the game has many different types of items that fill the same role, you have to do it often. There should be an option to make the game work a bit more like The Division, where each slot is assigned to a role. One for health, another for distractions, another for traps and a final for miscelaneous. Thus, when you run out of your currently equipped health pack, the game immediately switches to another.

Regain health "for free"
Another issue is that the only way players can regain health is through items. Where other games allow players to regain health by sleeping or even just fast travelling, GZ forces players to either use consumables… or kill themselves. One solution could be to…

Differentiate safe houses and Bases of Operations
To me it’s a bit silly that every single safe house has facilities to store your stuff, build bicycles, disassemble weapons and make clothes. IMO, there should be a differentiation between safe houses, meaning places to which you can fast travel, and what I’d call Bases of Operation: places with all of the facilities. Bases would (perhaps after a line of side quests) could have the facilities, as well as a bed where players can sleep to adjust the time of day and regain health.

Better weapons for abundant ammo
The guns that players unlock early in the game become quite useless later on. Möller PP isn’t really adequate to even take care of ticks, Meuser isn’t powerful enough to destroy enemies even when hitting their weak spots etc. As such, these weapons go unused and the ammo floods storage.
So a solution to this would be to introduce better weapons that make use of these ammo types.
Pansarvärnsgevär 42 A semiauto rifle with a 10 round capacity, based off the AG42. Fires Älgstudsare ammo.
KILO63 A prototype domestic assault rifle designed to fire Meuser ammo. Looks like the GRAM m/63.
Kpist m/84 An SMG that fires Möller PP ammo. The Tec-9 was originally designed as a military SMG, featuring a stock, and could thus be the visual inspiration.

I have not really had that ammo problem. While yes you get ammo for guns you do not use sometimes. the option is to just not pick it up. Also ammo pickups and loot chance is based on what guns you have on you.
