@Mr_A1992 Well, so far we only have 13 contributors to the poll. Based on those 13 votes, we have the following priority (with the most important fix at the top, and the least important at the bottom:
It might be that the board is just dying and there are not a lot of people participating anymore. Or maybe the poll wasn’t as visible as it should have been. @Madchaser , is there a way you would recommend to call attention to this again? I can re-post a link to the thread in the general forum, but should we try anything else? Pinning the poll?
I’d say it (the forum) is just almost dead.
You could try to lure players from social media (discord i.e.), but I wouldn’t bet that it helps that much.
Although it’s quite late already, you should think about sending it to the support as it is, but without telling the number of participants.
A good point. I’ll send tonight. I hope they make good on the tentative plan to archive or preserve the forum in some way. There’s a lot of amazing info on here that never made it to the Wiki . . . .
Did the poll just now…although I dont understand why the new refined material requirements for exp. ammo and augments wouldnt be the top priority under the throwables/deployables.
I’ve become so disenchanted with the game that often I find myself just wandering around collecting wood just because I like to hear it snap off. Either that or I sit back in Hack mode making the machines fight themselves.
@DeadeyeDad , I think that - while a lot of people have “big feels” about the refined materials balancing - it’s not really a bug, just a feature that people disagree with. The focus for this list was things that are actually broken, i.e., not working the way the devs intended.
Well, the list has been submitted to the support team, no response yet. We may not hear anything, but if we do, I’ll post it here. Thanks to everyone who contributed!
Btw, anybody know since when the OPV broken? n the fact that machines can now shoot through large fallen machines’ debris like harvester n tanks, but we can’t?
Well, that’s the final nail, I guess. Support got back to me pretty quick, thanked us all for gathering the info. While all of the issues we highlighted had been logged previously, it was nice to have it organized and ranked. But of course there are no plans to make any new fixes.
It was what we were expecting, but its still a big irresponsibility by their part.
Bugs they introduced with their last update which no one really asked for.
I was quite pleased with the game before “The last Update”, but they broke the companion and a few other things, what bulls### is this guys…
Thats not how business is done, they break something, they fix it, we on the other hand cant use their product in any unlawful way and have the right to use the product that we bought.
How can anyone ever trust this company ever again?
I wont for sure.
I still enjoy the game, and honestly I am glad that they made the last update. For better or for worse it added more new content, and I enjoyed most of that new content.
Agreed. But it is what it is. I’d still recommend the game to friends, at least friends of a certain gaming level. I recently started playing from scratch with my brother, and now that the deployables are mostly working again, it’s fun in a way that outweighs the annoyance from the remaining bugs (IMHO). The sandbox nature of the traps, the mood of walking through the woods, it’s still there for me when I bring along a new friend. Not perfect, but still enjoyable.
All that being said, I was wondering: the game is broken in places, but we also know that this is it; this is the game’s final state, and it won’t be changing. Does anyone have any interest in updating the Fandom wiki? I noticed it’s missing some collectible location lists, and some details are out of date (i.e., does not include the new refined materials).
I’d like to believe the dev team will make good on what the said about maintaining the forum, and/or archiving it in some useful way. But It may not be up to them, and someone higher up might pull the plug at any time. Perhaps we should be talking about transitioning some of the good info here into that wiki?
So speaking of other refined materials I was looting recently and picked up some “Wooden Logs” and it wasn’t the same as standard wood and it disappeared from my inventory when I looted it. Anyone else seen this before?
Yes, this was added some time ago. Obviously players complained that wood was quite rare, so these logs were added additionally to harvestable trees. The will yield 5 units of wood (if I remember correctly). I can’t find the Resistance Report or Newsletter in which this was announced (including the places where you can find them), unfortunately.
But there are also “Wood Logs” remaining in FNXI-containers in Breviken Camping, which were related to a mission. They will just disappear once you pick them up.
Its for a Fnix rising mission, they dont serve any other purpose.
There is also 2 more itens that can be discovered there for that same mission.
Dont think much, you can dispose of them if you already did that mission.
I’m here because I’ve got an email from Avalanche about the Privacy Policy changes and that’s how I learned that the Group is bringing all its divisions back to a single entity (or something like that…)
While I would probably buy Just Cause games that still havent been published on GOG yet, I doubt I will ever buy a new release from Avalanche, knowing how bad they funded and managed the Generation Zero IP.
Some people are “uncomfortable” with people blaming and being angry here, I won’t hesitate to share my feeling and thought here…
I would however want to thank Carni for the great work he did here!!!
